Dwayne Johnson is honouring healthcare workers who have been on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic. The actor has partnered with Voss Water to make a huge donation to those who have been helping treat people affected by COVID-19. Together, Johnson and Voss donated 700,000 bottles of water to hospitals across the U.S.“This message is for some very, very special people out there,” says Johnson in a video shared to Instagram. “I’m talking about our frontline workers. Our healthcare workers who are working so tirelessly day in and day out for months and months now and you continue to do so at our healthcare facilities, our hospitals all across the country.”Speaking on behalf of himself and Voss Water, which the Jumanji actor bought a stake in last year, Johnson said the donation was his way to show frontline workers that they are appreciated and have not been forgotten. “That is our small way of saying thank you, and is our small way of letting you know how grateful we are for all your work as you guys continue to take care and care for our loved ones, our family, our friends. I thank you guys so much from the bottom of my heart,” said Johnson.
With hospitals in areas like California, Arizona, Texas and Florida hitting maximum capacity in their ICUs, Johnson urged people to continue practicing physical distancing while also wearing a mask and staying home whenever possible.“I’m saying to you guys, hang in there. We as non-healthcare workers, my fellow Americans and myself, we’re going to do everything that we possibly can to be disciplined, to be diligent, to be responsible during this time, doing everything that we can in support of you, and that means wearing our masks, practice social distancing and again, doing everything that we can.”Do you smell what the Rock is cooking? Yes, but you’re smelling it through a mask while staying six feet away from the next closest person.[video_embed id='5969577102001']RELATED: Dwayne Johnson's Sunday cheat meal is stuff of legends[/video_embed]Concluding his message of thanks, Johnson said “Now is the time that we have be as diligent as we possibly can, and as disciplined as we can.
