Did John Krasinski really leave Chris Martin & Nick Jonas on 'read'?

When was the last time you were left on ‘read’? You know, you texted, emailed, or DMed a friend (or maybe even an ex, or hell… even a celeb) and never heard back. Nada. Nothing. Zilch. Just a stone cold digital shoulder.Well, apparently even celebrities go through it — even ones as famous as Chris Martin. The Coldplay frontman stopped by Ellen recently to talk about the upcoming album, Miley Cyrus’s tonsils, and that time John Krasinski didn’t email him back.According to the clip, the singer felt particularly inspired by the movie The Quiet Place which, as we know, stars John Krasinski and his (beautiful, equally hilarious) wife, Emily Blunt. “I had an idea for a joke afterwards, and so I sent Emily Blunt and her husband this idea for the musical of The Quiet Place”, Martin explained before continuing on to silently mime himself playing the piano.[video_embed id='1735146']RELATED: These famous movie roles almost went to other celebs[/video_embed]Credit where credit is due, this is a great joke… considering the entire movie is based on the premise that, if you make a sound, you’ll attract brutal, noise-sensitive creatures. But apparently, the famous couple never replied.Never one to miss a beat (or an opportunity to continue a joke), Ellen posted the clip to her Instagram account yesterday with the caption “@JohnKrasinski and Emily Blunt, did you get this message from Chris Martin?”

Fortunately for fans tuned in to the world of celebrity social media, Krasinski also never misses a beat, and quickly replied to Ellen’s post claiming, “I… did not get an email from Chris Martin. The man is a world treasure. Are you kidding me!?!? Emily what have you done!?!?”

Well, blaming Emily seems like a great strategy.

His comment currently as 43,082 likes (and counting) and well, we are officially laughing out loud, because apparently… Martin wasn’t the only victim of a Krasinski snub.Nick Jonas chimed in, alerting Ellen that he too sent Krasinski an email to tell him that he thought the film was incredible and, spoiler alert… he too did not get a reply.
