If Demi Lovato and Young and the Restless star Max Ehrich were hoping to keep their relationship from going Instagram official for the next little while, they definitely just blew that chance. Days after People confirmed the pair were dating (not to mention hunkering down together in social-distancing mode), Lovato accidentally crashed Ehrich’s Instagram Live performance in the sweetest way possible. Cover. Blown. It all went down on March 29 when Ehrich was playing the piano for his fans and Lovato popped up behind him to wrap a blanket around him. “I’m on live!, I’m on live,” People reports the actor as whispering to Lovato as she hid her face with the blanket and fled. For his part, Ehrich covered his mouth in shock and laughter, reports the publication.[video_embed id='1928863']RELATED: Demi Lovato has a new quarantine bae[/video_embed]Who knew a couple of weeks ago when California went under a stay-at-home order that celebs would get this candid? Anyhow, if the couple was really that intent on keeping things on the down-low they probably would have reconsidered their flirtatious banter online. After all, how else are fans supposed to take the “Fine by me…” comment Lovato left on the shirtless post Ehrich shared on March 24?
While fans wait for official confirmation from the duo on their relationship status, insiders seem happy to provide enough fodder for the time being to keep everyone speculating. “Max is very into music and health, and he doesn’t like to party,” an unnamed source recently told E! News. “He is a good influence on Demi and they have a lot in common. They have a few mutual friends in common, but Demi has been introducing Max to her closest friends via FaceTime since being quarantined.”So far 2020 has been a pretty good year for Lovato, pandemic aside. She made a powerful comeback at the Grammys in January with her earth-shattering performance of “Anyone,” she opened the Super Bowl with her take on the national anthem, and she’s been sharing her past struggles with sobriety and eating disorders in very candid interviews. At this point it’s no wonder fans are “Sorry Not Sorry” for wanting the performer to find some happiness and keep her solid footing. From the (early) looks of things, Ehrich could be an integral part of that. Now let’s all sit back and wait for that purposeful Instagram reveal… maybe even a dual performance? Fans can only hope.[video_embed id='1930828']Before you go: You don't need to hit the gym to do your favourite workouts[/video_embed]
