Courteney Cox may not be so great at
Friends trivia, but she’s killing it in the TikTok department. Like, she’s cleaning up better than Monica Gellar on the social media platform thanks to her awkward dance moves and hilarious filters that have gotten plenty of attention from fans and celebrity pals alike. Because apparently that’s just what physical distancing does to people—drives them all onto social media where they can be their best, silly selves. On April 6, Cox uploaded two “Savage” videos to the platform showcasing her talents in all their glory. In the first one, the
Friends star used the baby filter to become a strange (but somewhat cute?) adult with a baby face belting out the lyrics to Megan Thee Stallion’s anthem. In the second she transformed into a man courtesy of another filter, becoming a hot male version of herself. “Dealer’s Choice,” Cox captioned the videos, which she also shared on Instagram.
Obviously people had plenty of reactions when they saw it, which is exactly why Cox posted the videos in the first place. After all, who doesn’t need a laugh right now? “I. Am. Dying,” the actor’s bestie Jennifer Aniston wrote in the comments. “Is the grey shirt rob lowe or jared leto. Either way great dancing,” David Spade added. “I’D DATE DUDE YOU!”
Queer Eye's Tan France fan-girled from his own abode.[video_embed id='1933651']RELATED: Jen Aniston and Jimmy Kimmel surprise a nurse in quarantine with COVID-19[/video_embed]The celeb comments didn’t stop there. Brandi Carlile admitted she will “never unsee this,” Poppy Delevingne called it “GENIUS,” and Rob Thomas chimed in with a big old, “NO!” Oh, and pro volleyball player Gabrielle Reece? She wants to, “babysit the first and weirdly date the second.”Of all the
soon-to-be-reuniting Friends cast, Cox definitely seems to be the most into social media. In addition to the TikTok videos, she’s been sharing some great musical clips on Instagram, including one where she and her daughter Coco “redeem themselves” with a beautiful rendition of
Hamilton’s “Burn.” (They had shared a snippet of the song on a
quarantine episode of Ellen and knew they could do better).
Cox has been slightly more active than her onscreen husband Matthew Perry, at any rate. The guy who brought us Chandler Bing only just
joined Instagram earlier this year, and he’s been sharing some pretty on-brand, overly calm posts in the voice of his famous character.
For those who many think Cox is just getting with the TikTok times because of the precautions related to COVID-19, they might want to check out some of her earlier posts. The 55-year-old has been wrapping her head around the platform for a few months now, with a little help from 15-year-old Coco, of course. “Wanna see your child lose their patience? Do a TikTok with them,” Cox joked back in January when
she posted a video of her and Coco busting out moves.Given that everyone is expected to remain indoors for the foreseeable future during the pandemic, at least fans know they can inevitably look forward to more of this amazing tomfoolery in the near future.[video_embed id='1933760']RELATED: Drake’s ‘Toosie Slide’ is headed for viral TikTok statuse[/video_embed]
