Comedian Hasan Minhaj welcomes a son

“Even in these crazy times there are so many beautiful moments,” wrote comedian and Patriot Act host Hasan Minhaj, marking the birth of a new baby son with wife Beena on his Instagram account earlier today. “Welcome to the world little guy,” he wrote. “The Minhaj family grows, and according to Beena it’s done growing. But ya never know, shooters shoot.” The couple already have a daughter, born in 2018, who now gets to take on the role of Big Sister.Minhaj’s Patriot Act colleague, photographer Amir Hamja, snapped the adorable and serene photo of the couple with their new baby shortly after the birth. In it, Beena’s hospital bracelet is still visible on her wrist.As soon as the pic was posted, Minhaj’s celebrity friends began to chime in with congratulatory messages, filling up the comments section with well wishes. “Congratulations you guys! I’m so, so happy for you!” wrote Queer Eye’s fashion guru and close family friend Tan France (in all-caps). “Congrats guys,” added Priyanka Chopra. “Wow! Congrats brother!” wrote designer Philip Lim. Lena Waithe, Awkwafina, Sophia Bush, fellow comedian Felonius Munk, and Canadian YouTube star Lilly Singh also sent their best.For the couple, having a new baby in such difficult times can’t be easy (is it ever with the whole parenthood thing?) but it’s sweet to know that fans and friends are celebrating with them even if it is over the internet and in isolation.
