Jim Gaffigan has had enough. The writer and comedian who famously delivers clean, curse-free sets sounded off against the President on Thursday following the final night of the Republican National Convention. Gaffigan unleashed a torrent of tweets against Trump and his followers, even dropping the ‘F’ bomb about a presidency that has been one bomb after another.Gaffigan began his hour-long tweet session by writing “RIP Truth. Excuse me while I treat myself to confronting some assholes.” It’s unclear exactly what the President said during his speech on Thursday that pushed Gaffigan to begin tweeting, but we’ll assume pretty much everything.[video_embed id='1999780']RELATED: Jim Gaffigan on the 'surreal' experience of performing in a parking lot[/video_embed]The comedian addressed Trump fans directly, diverting from his typical non-partisan political stance and making it abundantly clear that he would be voting Biden in the upcoming November election. “Look Trumpers I get it.  As a kid I was a cubs fan and I know you stick by your team no matter what but he's a traitor and a con man who doesn't care about you,” tweeted Gaffigan. “Deep down you know it.  I'm sure you enjoy pissing people off but you know Trump is a liar and a criminal.”Gaffigan took aim at Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, or more specifically, that ‘douche bag’ Jared, calling the couple ‘Coastal Elites.’ An angry Jim is still a funny Jim. During Thursday’s convention, former Notre Dame football coach Lou Holtz praised Trump and questioned Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden on his commitment to his religion (the college quickly distanced themselves from Holtz following his remarks). Gaffigan, a Catholic who has previously performed in front of Pope Francis, decided it was worth the three Hail Marys he would have to recite to share his true feelings on Holtz and his comments. As for Trump supporters who quickly began predicting that the comedian would lose his career over his political stance, the actor made it clear that should Trump be re-elected, there would be many more people losing their jobs. Calling the President a con man, liar, and fascist, Gaffigan urged his Twitter followers to not believe Trump when he called former President Barack Obama a socialist or Joe Biden a radical. “Trump budding up with dictators is RADICAL. Trump having interfering with the justice department is RADICAL.  Trump pandering to the police and army (I gave 3 raises) is RADICAL,” tweeted Gaffigan.Writing that he doesn’t care if people accuse him of virtue signalling, Gaffigan ended his series of tweets with a summary that included the comedian asking people to not be distracted from the “con of Don.” While Trump supporters may not be fans of Gaffigan’s latest set, he’s receiving support from other comedians and writers, including W. Kamau Bell, Michael Ian Black, Roxanne Gay and Alyssa Milano. Gaffigan did get one piece of constructive criticism from his wife Jeannie.
