Comedian and fellow LA resident Chris Klemens answered Chrissy’s call, providing alluring photo evidence of the fresh lettuce.I’ll make a banana bread for anyone that has romaine lettuce. The trade will be made 6 feet apart and we will place the goods on the floor. no funny business

And that’s when things got interesting. How was Teigen supposed to know that the lettuce actually existed? What if this man, a stranger up until now, just happened to have a stockpile of photos of himself posing with produce? Clever Teigen demanded verification that the photo was legit and Klemens stepped up to provide the proof.I have three studio city pic.twitter.com/W9PPmdJfWA

The final stage of the deal involved an intense round of bargaining. John Legend, a smart man who puts banana bread ahead of lettuce (apologies for the pun) demanded half the loaf be kept at home and Teigen had to augment her original offer by throwing in a slice or two of pie. We’re still waiting to find out what she makes with the romaine.[video_embed id='1907812']RELATED: Chrissy Teigen reveals one of the hardest parts of raising a daughter[/video_embed]Here we go pic.twitter.com/SMav4dU1Mx
