Chrissy Teigen and John Legend certainly chose a “wild” way of announcing to the world that they are expecting their third child. The celebrity couple took a page from the Katy Perry pregnancy announcement playbook when they appeared together in the new video for Legend’s song “Wild,” to share their big news.Teigen shared an excited Instagram post alongside several snaps of her and Legend before the video dropped on August 13. “Big day! The video for “wild” premieres tomorrow! John and I will be introducing it live at noon pacific on YouTube. Let us know if you have any questions for us or our director @nabil, the man who introduced us 14 years ago!”
In the three-plus minute “Wild” video, Legend and Teigen’s love is on full display with some hot beach and car scenes in Mexico. At one point during a romantic dinner they appear to have a bit of a lover’s quarrel, but then towards then end she finds him on the beach and they embrace. Seconds later the couple walks towards the water with their two children, Luna, 4 and Miles, 2. And in the final shot, with Legend’s arms are around his wife’s stomach, the camera offers a close-up of a bourgeoning baby bump, officially making their personal news oh-so-public.“Look at this third baby s---,” Teigen also said on social media hours after the video dropped, showing off her bump and taking away any traces of doubt fans may have had. “What the ... oh my God.”
That bump was definitely not on display in the hours leading up to the “Wild” release, when Teigen and Legend sat down for a
live chat on YouTube. There, they discussed how special it has been working with director
Nabil Elderkin over the years, given that he first introduced them when he shot Legend’s song “
Stereo” and told the singer that he had the perfect person for the video—Teigen.[video_embed id='2006013']RELATED: John Legend reveals what Chrissy Teigen thinks about his love songs[/video_embed]In the live chat, Legend also reminded fans that the footage of their eventual wedding ceremony in Italy, which is featured in
“All Of Me,” was shot by Elderkin on his cell phone. The director also worked with the couple on Luna’s first video, “
Love Me Now,” and as per Legend and Teigen, “Wild” was special because it would be Miles’ first video. Who knew it would also be their upcoming bundle’s as well? Other than the Legends, of course.Shortly after revealing the news, many of the couple’s celebrity friends sent their heartfelt congrats. Josh Gad, Shay Mitchell, Gwyneth Paltrow, Brooklyn Decker and plenty of others posted heart and fire emojis on both Teigen’s and
music mogul of the year Legend’s Instagram accounts to spread the love.So far Teigen has not announced a due date or revealed the gender of baby number three. Previously, Teigen has opened up about
being an IVF Warrior, and, following the birth of daughter Luna, she also got real with her struggles with postpartum depression.“I knew we’d be fine, really," she
explained to The Cut in 2018 when she was pregnant with Miles. “The depression thing came out of nowhere! And I will say, I’m not even worried about it for this time — because I know what to expect at least.”Congrats to the soon-to-be family of five.[video_embed id='1907812']RELATED: Chrissy Teigen reveals one of the hardest parts of raising a daughter[/video_embed]
