It looks like Chris Pratt has been channelling his Parks and Recreation alter ego Andy — at least in the goofy musical sense. The star, who was formerly known not to have a six-pack, is taking his career to the next level with the launch of his production company, Indivisible Productions. And he took fans on a musical tour of his new office to announce the big move.In an Instagram video posted to the star’s account on February 4, Pratt showed off his musical range with a nostalgic tour of projects past. Although he doesn’t actually appear onscreen (unless you count his reflection), Pratt can be heard from behind the camera as it pans to posters from all of his career highlights. As he focuses in on each one he sings or hums the theme song, and it all results in a musical montage of epic, off-key proportions.“[We’re going on] a journey… to see… how everything has changed,” he opens the video in his best narrator voice over a shot of his pixelated face. Then it’s onto the posters. There’s Everwood, which Pratt starred in with Canadian Emily VanCamp for four years in the early 2000s. And of course Parks and Recreation makes the list, although the jaunty theme song is lost in translation when Pratt sings it. The 40-year-old then goes on to showcase musical notes from Guardians of the Galaxy (complete with a shot of his Star-Lord figurine), The Lego Movie, and Jurassic World, before landing on Avengers: Infinity War.[video_embed id='-1']RELATED: Anna Faris breaks down her current relationship with Chris Pratt[/video_embed]“Duude. Why did you punch Thanos?” he pretend-whines before throwing up a piece of paper introducing Indivisible Productions. “Boom. Get ready.”
Is there even a way to get ready for news like that? Anyhow, Pratt's caption reveals a little more about the philosophy of his new company, which at this point sounds like a blank slate. “Our mission statement is to create entertaining content, focusing on themes which will help to bridge the growing divide in our country and world,” he wrote. “You know, make the world a better place. No biggie, you’re welcome, but it’s whatever.”If you’re a bit confused about that mission statement you’re forgiven—it’s not exactly clear what kind of content will make the world a better place. But considering how much money the unlikely action star has racked up now (he made $12 million alone for co-starring with Jennifer Lawrence in the 2017 flick Passengers), it seems like he can pretty much do whatever he wants. As the world awaits news of what big-screen magic Pratt might actually create next (aside from musical montages for Instagram), fans have third sequels of Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World to look forward to, as well as the sci-fi thriller The Tomorrow War, which he stars in alongside The Handmaid’s Tale's Yvonne Strahovski.Meanwhile, Pratt’s first order of business is bringing The Terminal List, a conspiracy show that sounds like what would happen if Homecoming and Seal Team had a baby, to television. No word on when or where that might air just yet, but hey—at least Pratt will be busy for the next little bit. But hopefully not too busy for some more Instagram shenanigans in the near future…. A Mouse Rat reunion, perhaps? Parks and Rec fans can only dream.[video_embed id='-1']Before you go: Dog discovers steam from dishwasher, can't get enough of it[/video_embed]
