Cardi B’s Twitter account is catnip for the gossip-hungry right now, as the rapper breaks down her break up (and quasi-reunion) with Offset while throwing in her own reactions to fans’ reactions to the couple’s on-again off-again status. It’s basically the celeb social media version of a snake eating its own tail. An endless feedback loop of “Don’t judge me but here’s why I did what I did” followed by more judgement. If you suffer from vertigo, you may want to read this sitting down. After filing for divorce from Offset last month, Cardi was spotted celebrating her birthday with him in Las Vegas last weekend where paparazzi caught the couple kissing on camera (Cardi also unintentionally caught some of their more intimate moments on camera — pro tip, do not use your smartphone as a mirror). Naturally, when the news of the birthday reunion broke, fans weighed in. Having 15 million Twitter followers can have its downsides. Cardi, however, was quick to put them in their places (again and again and again). In multiple posts across social media platforms, the ‘WAP’ rapper addressed followers’ concerns that she was returning to an “abusive” relationship, creating a narrative in which Cardi was not in complete control of her life and therefore required saving.[video_embed id='2054536']RELATED: Inside Cardi B's Vegas birthday bash and Offset's special gift[/video_embed]Cardi, however, had another story to tell: “Listen y’all, I’m just a crazy b**ch,” she said in an Instagram Live post. “You know how I be arguing with y’all on social media? That’s exactly how we are, between me and my man. So when people be saying I be doing s#*t for attention, with this and that, no, I’m just a crazy b**ch. One day I’m happy, the next day I wanna beat a n***a up,” she explained. “I just be starting to miss [him]… It’s hard not to talk to your best friend. It’s really hard not to talk to your best friend. And it’s really hard to have no d**k,” she added candidly. The multiple posts about her relationship managed to both reassure fans that Cardi was a) not being abused; but also b) had a limited idea about what constitutes domestic abuse. When it comes down to it, says Cardi, her relationships are no one’s business but her own — which is how it might be in an ideal world where celebs who are already lavished with attention don’t seek to court more of it on social media. What probably sums it up a little more realistically is the video in which Cardi says, “We’re just really typical, two young motherf***as who got married early, that’s what we are. We’re not no different than y’all f***in’ dysfunctional-ass relationships. We’re the same way. We’re just more public.”[video_embed id='2054825']Before you go: Hiker gets a clear warning from a cougar while on a trail[/video_embed]
