Things didn’t quite work out for Brittany Snow's latest television series,
Almost Family, which was officially cancelled this month. But when it comes to her own family life, things are pretty happy right now. That’s because the
Pitch Perfect star got hitched in Malibu over the weekend, bringing some much-needed joy to all of her fans.Snow tied the knot with her realtor fiancé, Tyler Stanaland, in an intimate outdoor wedding in Malibu on March 14,
according to The Knot (you can go ahead and say “Aca-marriage” anytime now).
According to People, Snow wore a long-sleeved, lace gown by Jonathan Simkhai, and both parties exchanged bands by Tacori. Of course even intimate nuptials require stringent planning, especially if you happen to be an actor, and so the couple enlisted help from Hello Gem Events, which basically made the concept of “low-key” as posh as possible.“There’s definitely going to be tacos and other food that we like, the vibe is very comfort food. Everyone should feel like they just picked this up when they were drunk one night and wanted fried mac and cheese or whatever,” Snow recently told
People. “Everybody should have the best time they’ve ever had at this wedding, that’s what we’re trying to make happen.”Sounds like tacos are also a bit of a sentimental food for the couple. Snow and Stanaland met through social media after realizing they had a bunch of friends in common, and he reached out to her with what she
recalled to the publication as “a really lame pickup line.” Lame or not, it worked, and they went on their first date—for tacos—shortly afterwards.“We got tacos after years of being infatuated with one another and forgot how to speak entirely,” Stanaland said. “There was a certain amount of tequila consumed, and then we just started talking a lot. Then we fell in love and nothing’s really changed, we’re still eating tacos and margaritas together.”Snow and Stanaland got engaged in February 2019 and announced their news via Instagram. “A couple weeks ago, I said ‘YES’ about a million times to the man of my wildest & most beautiful dreams,”
Snow wrote in a post. “After celebrating with friends and family, we wanted to let a few more friends (you guys) know... this happened. I’m still pinching myself and thanking my lucky stars for the truest feeling I’ve ever felt. Thank you @tylerstanaland for the happiest day of my life & for not proposing in this creepy empty restaurant.”Although fans weren’t sure exactly when or where the wedding would be, they knew things were getting close when Snow held an epic bachelorette party last month, where the stars of
Pitch Perfect (including Anna Camp and Anna Kendrick)
joined her for some celebrations.
“Happy Valentines Day to my (soon to be) husband @tylerstanaland,” Snow posted on Instagram last month on the day of love. “I love you unconditionally, madly simultaneously & endlessly. I can’t wait to marry you. You’re so perfect it’s weird. I’m warning everyone, this feed is about to get real damn annoying in the next 2 months. Sorry (kinda)”[video_embed id='-1']Before you go: High-energy Frenchie gets so excited about grassy turf[/video_embed]
