It looks like this is the end of the road for Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox. On Monday, Green released the latest episode of his podcast …With Brian Austin Green and confirmed that he and wife Megan Fox had separated. Becoming emotional several times throughout the 30-minute episode, Green said it was important for him to make it clear that there is no victim in the couple’s separation and that recent photos of Fox with co-star and friend Machine Gun Kelly should not make people jump to conclusions.“Megan gives me a hard time about oversharing and divulging too much information, but that’s my blessing and my curse,” said Green at the top of the episode while speaking to co-host Derek Russell. Starting at what he calls the beginning, Green said the couple first began to find themselves in rocky territory when Fox left the country to film a movie in the fall of 2019. Returning five weeks away from home, Green said things between the pair were strained, something he first attributed to Fox’s jet lag and fatigue from night shoots. After two weeks, the pair discussed their relationship."She said, 'You know, I realized while I was out of the country working alone that I feel more like myself, and I liked myself better during that experience, and I think that may be something worth trying for me.' And, I was shocked and I was upset about it, but I can't be upset at her, and I wasn't upset at her because that's, she didn't ask to feel that way, it wasn't a choice she made, that's the way she honestly felt,” said Green.[video_embed id='5569279622001']RELATED: Why Brian Austin Green doesn't care that his son wears dresses[/video_embed]The pair decided to take some time apart, leading to photos in the press of the couple at their separate residences, which fueling breakup rumoUrs. Unfortunately, time apart did little to mend the relationship. “The reality began sinking in that maybe this is what it is,” said Green.Admitting that he had become complacent in the marriage, Green said “There’s the sense of loss. How do I go on with this big part of my life that I’ve always known and loved and shared changing? What does that landscape look like, what does that life look like?”

After photos of Fox with rapper and actor Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, surfaced recently, Green said that he spent the night agonizing over the headlines that painted him as the victim and his estranged wife and friend as villains, which prompted him to speak about their separation on his podcast."I don't want this guy Colson, who I have never met, who she said nothing but really kind things about, I don't want him to be vilified because nobody did anything wrong. It's not like we are separating or anything because somebody cheated or somebody hurt somebody," said Green, who added that he has always trusted Fox’s judgement. "I feel like people are on paths in life sometimes and you're on the same path, and you walk that path together, and things are working and then paths just kind of separate sometimes.Green and Fox are parents to three sons, Noah (7), Bodhi (6) and Journey (3). Green said that the pair’s focus is keeping their children happy and healthy. “The control we have is how it affects the kids. Neither one of us did anything to each other,” said Green, who praises Fox throughout the podcast episode. “We’ve had an amazing relationship and I will always love her and I know she’ll always love me. I know as far as a family, what we’ve built is really cool and really special. We decided, let’s make sure we don’t lose that,” said Green, adding that the couple are committed to remaining friends and spending family vacations and holidays together for their kids.
Green and Fox first began dating in 2004 after meeting on the set of Hope & Faith. The pair made headlines for their 12-year age difference (Green was 30 at the time and Fox was only 18). The pair were married in 2010 and Fox filed for divorce in 2015 but the couple reconciled in 2016.[video_embed id='1960946']BEFORE YOU GO: Cat fight erupts during live TV interview[/video_embed]
