Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston had probably the cutest reunion earlier this year at the
Screen Actor’s Guild Awards in January, where the former married couple embraced and beamed at each other backstage after Brad’s win for Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role. Who knew that, in the year of our Lord, 2020, when all things that could have gone sideways did, we would get yet another reunion of our late '90s power couple (and the source of all our romantic hopes and dreams)?!
Deadline is reporting that Brad Pitt has been added to the virtual table read of
Fast Times at Ridgemont High, which has already been cast with the
Friends alum, and a whole host of other stars.[video_embed id='1818994']RELATED: Jennifer Aniston reveals why morning shows are so popular[/video_embed]Also included in the table read will be the film’s original breakout star, Sean Penn, who famously played Spicoli. Other big name celebs joining the table read include Julia Roberts, Matthew McConaughey, Morgan Freeman, Henry Golding, Shia LaBeouf, and the recently added Jimmy Kimmel. No word yet on which roles Brad and Jen have been cast in, but we would love it if Brad played the character Brad (easy to remember his name that way!) and Jen played the character Linda. If you know you know. The event, on top of being virtual, will also air live on Thursday, August 20
th on both Facebook Live and TikTok as a fundraiser for CORE’s fight against coronavirus and Reform Alliance’s criminal justice work. This will mark the first time the former lovebirds will have acted together on screen since Brad’s guest starring role on a 2001 episode of
Friends entitled, “The One with the Rumour.”
The former couple met back in 1998 and married in 2000. They split in 2005, but currently remain pals, with Jen inviting the
Once Upon A Time in Hollywood star to both her
birthday and
Christmas parties.Look we’re not saying these two should get back together but . . . that’s exactly what we’re saying.[video_embed id='2011259']BEFORE YOU GO: Former Hollywood stylist ‘outs’ celebrities for being the worst to work with[/video_embed]
