Blake Shelton is making good on his promise to bring back his mullet. The country singer and coach on The Voice (Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on CTV) decided to use his time in quarantine to revisit his famous hairstyle, which has aged exactly as well as you would assume the mullet has aged. It wasn’t even a good look when it was in style. On March 17, Shelton announced that he was bringing back his iconic hairstyle as his way to signal hope…or some sh*t like that. If ‘mullet’ was a tone, this Tweet was very on brand. This is not how you win People’s Sexiest Man Alive award for a second time. Shelton gave a sneak peek of his new look in his quarantine photoshoot with girlfriend Gwen Stefani. Shelton’s shorter sides can be seen in the picture, which the country singer says he regretfully didn’t make into the album cover for the couple’s latest duet, “Nobody But You.” As in, nobody but you can love this hairstyle. Shelton’s Voice co-star John Legend was quick to question his fellow coach on the status on his mullet, which Shelton gave a better angle of in a second post. The country singer got an assist from girlfriend Gwen Stefani, who showed off Shelton’s (sorta) long and luscious locks. Helping to accentuate the mullet-ness of the haircut, Stefani took Shelton’s questionable hair decision to the next level and shaved stripes into the side of Shelton’s head. If you’re going to rock a mullet in 2020, you may as well go full out.  Shelton’s head of hair isn’t the first mop to fall victim to quarantine boredom. Pink and husband Carey Hart have been sharing their daily activities while physical distancing with their family. Hart let the couple’s 8-year-old Willow shave his head, creating the Motorbike riders’ Full Metal Jacket look. As for Pink, she used her uneven chop job to act as a PSA to her followers to not drink and cut hair at the same time.

Live with Kelly and Ryan star Kelly Ripa is also updating fans on her hair status. Ripa’s cheeky Root Watch began on Sunday and will continue until the quarantine is over or until Ripa breaks down and orders a box of hair dye. Whichever comes first. Comedian Kevin Hart is also letting his true colour come through, which in Hart’s case is grey, not black. Well, at least not anymore.
Like most entertainers, the future of Shelton’s projects are currently on hold in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Voice will continue to air pretaped episodes of the Battle and Knockout Rounds while the status of the live shows remains uncertain. Shelton and Legend’s The Voice co-star Carson Daly, who has hosted the reality singing show for all 18 season, has been busy during his time away from The Voice. On Thursday, Daly announced the birth of his fourth child with wife Siri. “The Daly family wants to send a special shout out to the incredibly brave & selfless medical staff at our hospital in New York and also the many courageous people on the front lines of this dreadful virus,” wrote Daly in his arrival announcement of new daughter Goldie.
