Billie Lourd shares never-before-seen photo from her pregnancy

Billie Lourd found a silver lining in the ongoing global pandemic by using quarantine to keep her pregnancy private. The Scream Queens actor was able to enjoy her first few months of motherhood on her own terms and didn’t announce that her family was growing until after the arrival of her son in September. Now Lourd is giving fans a glimpse into her pregnancy with her first photo showing off her growing belly. No surprise, Lourd is glowing.The new black and white photo is a profile shot of Lourd, who looks happy and healthy in the pic. The American Horror Story star can be seen smiling with her eyes closed while she lovingly cups her belly. Shot by photographer Brian Bowen Smith, Lourd’s maternity picture has already garnered a lot of love since it was posted on November 22.Lourd’s Booksmart director Olivia Wilde commented “Oh my goshhhh,” adding several heart emojis. Lourd’s Scream Queens co-star Emma Roberts, who is also expecting her first child with fiancé Garrett Hedlund, added “Yes!!! Gorgeous!!!” Rumer Willis also commented on Lourd’s photo, writing “So beautiful.” Writer Kelly Oxford, stylist Jamie Mizrahi, and actor Matt Bomer all left their messages of love and support as well next to the stunning photo.

In September, Lourd announced the birth of her son, Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell. Named in honor of her late mother, film legend Carrie Fisher, Lourd welcomed her new baby along with fiancé Austin Rydell. The pair announced their engagement in June but remained mum on their pregnancy news until after Kingston’s birth.Kingston’s first public photo is a loving tribute to his late grandmother. The image only shows the sweet newborns little feet and toes, but it’s clear that he is wearing a onesie with stars and moons on them, a fitting outfit for Star Wars royalty.

Lourd and Rydell have not spoken publicly about the birth of their son, but Lourd has made several posts recently about motherhood, specifically in relation to her own mom. In May, Lourd commemorated Mother’s Day by sending a message of support to all of those who have lost their mother or have a fractured relationship with their maternal figure. “This is my 4th Mother’s Day without my Momby and days like today are never easy, but I’ve found that doing things that make me feel more connected to her make it a little easier - watching her favorite movies, listening to music we listened to together, looking through old pictures and my personal favorite - eating + drinking things she loved,” wrote Lourd on May 10. “Happy Mother’s Day, but Mother’s Day can be more than just one adjective, so sad Mother’s Day / weird Mother’s Day / funny Mother’s Day / angry Mother’s Day / or any combination of the above.”Following the announcement of Kingston’s birth, Lourd shared a picture of her mother while pregnant. The 28-year-old actor posted the image on October 21, which shows Fisher looking content while enjoying corn on the cob late into her pregnancy.

Lourd is the latest celebrity to manage a secret pregnancy during quarantine. In October, Mindy Kaling revealed that, like Lourd, she had also welcomed a baby boy in September.
