Beyoncé and Jay-Z sent Reese Witherspoon a case of champagne

There are some people who are completely and utterly intimidated by Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Kate McKinnon recalled what it was like to be seated at the same table as the couple at the Golden Globes and, needless to say, she was a bit rattled. We would pretty much behave exactly the same as her — and not at all like Reese Witherspoon.The actress revealed on Thursday that the King and Queen of America (McKinnon's words, not hers) sent her a case of champagne following the adorable incident that took place at the Golden Globes a few days before. If you recall, Witherspoon's longtime pal Jennifer Aniston shared what happened between Reese and Bey and Jay on Sunday. "Reese!? This is one of the many reasons I love you," Jen An wrote on her Instagram Stories, alongside a photo of the two of them holding champagne glasses as a bewildered Kristin Hahn, executive producer of The Morning Show, looked on. "We ran out of water at our table so naturally she asked Jay Z and Beyonce for a glass of their champagne."Reese replied with two pics. The first was a meme of Beyoncé and Jay-Z posing for the camera with "When you hear Reese Witherspoon is thirsty...." written above, followed by another photo of the Carters drinking and toasting their beverages, with the Big Little Lies star Photoshopped between the couple. "Hide your champagne, y'all!," read the caption. But Bey and Jay were totally fine sharing more Ace of Spades Brut Gold with Reese. In fact, they decided to send her a whole case of the Armand de Brignac-produced bubbly, just because (though it probably helps that the record exec and rapper bought Armand de Brignac in 2014 and has a $200-million stake in the label.

In case you didn't know, it's nothing but the best for Bey and Jay. While others were knocking back Moët & Chandon at the Globes (one of the show's sponsors), hip hop's royal couple would only partake in the Ace of Spades — which they had brought in just for them. Came home to the best surprise from @beyonce and Jay-Z," she captioned the first in a series of videos, as she stood next to the island serving as a temporary home for the big black box with the Armand de Brignac logo on it.She then read the note and showed it to the camera: "More Water. Jay and B." Ha!And despite it being 11:30, Reese and her mom, Betty, popped open one of the bottles and took a swig. "It's 11:30. We're drinking champagne," she said. "Who cares? It's from Jay-Z and Beyoncé." Exactly. She added: "It's really good. It's a good way to start the new year."Happy New Year to all three of them. May 2020 be filled with all kinds of golden goodness.
