Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas sport matching necklaces and the internet has thoughts

Remember back in high school when you and your bestie wore matching necklaces (probably from Ardene or Claire's) to prove to everyone just how tight you really were? Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas do. Somehow the new-ish couple got their paws on what appears to be matching gold heart pendants, and they’ve been wearing them all over the place for the past few weeks. And now it’s basically become the throwback heard around the internet, because people have thoughts.It all started when one sharp-eyed fan noticed the pieces of jewellery and posted about them on Twitter, sharing side-by-side snaps of the stars with their respective pieces. Since then fans have been in the comments either loving, hating, or being totally confused by the look, because everyone needs a hobby right about now.

Some fans have been super into the look, taking the pendants as a sign that the couple, who only recently made their oh-so-public relationship Instagram official, are as solid as gold. Others are feeling nostalgic (and maybe a bit jaded), recalling their own BFF necklace days and taking the matching necklaces as a bad sign of things to come.

Then there were the users who were just confused by the whole showing, since from the photos it looks like Affleck and de Armas are each wearing the exact same side of a heart. Which could mean that they’re both sharing a necklace, or perhaps maybe one of them is just wearing it backwards? Either way people were quick to chime in on that subject, too.
