Many celebrities out there are throwing money at the global effort to fight coronavirus, either by helping food banks, research facilities, or healthcare professionals in need of equipment. Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are taking a different approach with their fundraising efforts, via an initiative dedicated to all those who are chucking a few more bottles into the recycling bin these days: quarantine wine.Yup, Quarantine Wine (that’s the name) is here to help get your through all of that self-isolating while still raising money for a good cause: a handful of charities hand-selected by the former That ‘70s Show stars themselves. Kutcher posted a video on Twitter in which the couple announced the new wine and revealed all proceeds would go to charities they’ve vetted. That includes charities that are feeding families and supplying masks to healthcare workers, but also organizations that are dedicated to helping small businesses and those who have fallen on hard times due to the coronavirus pandemic. “We had fun testing the wine, and it was delicious, but 100 per cent of the profits will go to charities,” Kunis says in the video, in which she and her husband are both wearing sweatshirts and may or may not have washed their hair (it’s a self-isolation look). “Here’s a toast to you, and to everything you’re doing to stay safe.” Then, as she and Kutcher raise their glasses of wine, Kutcher actually brings the glass to his lips and Kunis exclaims, “You can’t drink!” because technically, the video is an ad and such things are illegal. Doesn’t it warm your heart to know that Jackie is still bossing Kelso around, all these years later? If seeing the couple hocking wine is making you feel a little guilty about not even completing that paint-by-number kit you ordered a few weeks ago, know that they didn’t actually cultivate or make any vino here. This is a partnership with Nocking Point and most of the collaborating was done through Facetime. The final bottle is a 2018 Oregon Pinot Noir vintage blend that comes with an interactive label so that people who are in self-isolation can add their own designs and share their photos on social media with the appropriate hashtags. Actually, it’s the perfect blank canvas to put those dust-gathering paints to good use after all.The bottles start shipping out in May but the site is taking orders now. Currently the price is $50 US for two bottles, but unfortunately for Canadians it looks as though shipping is limited to the United States for now. Considering Canada Post is no longer making booze deliveries to your door anyhow (or any packages requiring person-to-person interaction, aka a signature or ID verification), it may be for the best.[video_embed id='1799614']RELATED: Mila Kunis says Ashton Kutcher should marry her mom if she dies[/video_embed]
