Go ahead and trim your own bangs. Thanks to Armie Hammer, you can rest assured that your self-isolation ‘do, no matter how asymmetrical, can’t touch this (this, being the actor’s latest lewk). The typically clean-cut star of films like The Social Network, The Man From UNCLE, and Find Me, the upcoming sequel to Call Me By Your Name, is letting it all hang out in lockdown. Hammer has been giving off a vibe that can only be described as “Joe Exotic chic” (or is that an oxymoron?). Yesterday he posted an Instagram selfie in which he appeared with a freshly buzzed mohawk and a moustache only the dastardly-est of cartoon villains could successfully pull off. But it was the outfit that really threw us. Is that a… fringed crop top? Festival fashion influencers upset about the cancellation of Coachella might want to avert their eyes. Unsurprisingly, the picture has been getting a lot of attention, including from Hammer’s Call Me By Your Name co-star Timothee Chalamet, who let emojis do the talking, posting two red, sweaty faces in the comments section as a gesture of… support? It’s clear that Chalamet’s pal has been struggling to nail down an official quarantine look for a while now. Late last month he tweeted about being haunted by sartorial indecision.
