Ariana Grande is throwing her support behind Senator Bernie Sanders in the US election. The popstar made her choice clear with a post on Wednesday night, posing with the Senator from Vermont who is running for the Democratic nomination for the 2020 US presidential election.Grande shared two pictures of the pair smiling and hugging with her 167 million Instagram followers, calling Sanders ‘MY GUY’ in the caption and revealing that Sanders is an Arianator. “Thank you Senator Sanders for coming to my show, making my whole night and for all that you stand for!!!” wrote Grande. The popstar touched on the work she’s been doing with the organization Head Count, which helps festivals and events double as places where people can register to vote. “@headcountorg and i are doing our best to make you proud. i’m so proud of my fans for paying attention and getting involved. we adore you,” wrote Grande, adding “also... i will never smile this hard again.”Sanders reposted Grande’s picture on his own Instagram account, thanking Grande for inviting him to her show in Atlanta earlier this week. “I want to thank @ArianaGrande for not only being a wonderful entertainer, but also for being such an outstanding advocate for social justice,” wrote Sanders. “We must all be prepared – like Ariana has shown – to fight for everyone who is struggling. It was great to meet her in Atlanta last night.”
At 78-years-old, Sanders is the oldest politician running for the Democratic seat, but his incredible track record and tireless efforts to make the US a place of safety, inclusion and access to education, health care and more has resonated with young voters. Continuing to pick up steam thanks in part to his partnership with Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Sanders has also received support from other celebrities in addition to Grande, including Danny DeVito, Michael Moore, Jack White, Killer Mike, and Cardi B.

Sanders and AOC have previously used their love for Grande to speak to younger voters, turning her hit songs into progressive policies. We like Seven Rings: No more tax breaks for the 1 percent. After canceling a show earlier this week due to sickness, Grande has still enjoyed a massive few days. Not only did she get to meet Sanders, but the popstar also scored an incredible five Grammy nominations on Wednesday morning. Grande is up for Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year for “7 Rings,” Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for “Thank U, Next” and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Boyfriend.” The singer shared her excitement over the nominations on Instagram, congratulating the other nominees and writing “thank u for acknowledging this music my beautiful best friends and i created in just a few weeks together. the acknowledgement is truly more than enough on its own for me and my heart.”Plus, she staged a Victorious reunion on stage that fans are likely still hyperventilating over.
