Amanda Bynes is having quite the 2020. In fact, if her fans are slightly concerned for her right now they might be totally justified. It was only about a week and a half ago that the former actress split with her fiancé, Paul Michael, and was ordered into psychiatric care. She allegedly didn’t show up to the facility at first, and what would happen next was anyone’s guess. But what no one (probably?) expected was that Bynes would resurface on Instagram to post a new selfie with Michael calling him, “My love” only a few days later. Especially since she had deleted all other photographic evidence of them together from her page. Even more shockingly though, Michael posted some news to his own social media account: that he and Bynes are expecting a baby.On March 17 Michael put up a slideshow on Instagram, including a picture of himself and Bynes and an ultrasound photo with the actress’s name on it. “Baby in the making,” he captioned the since-deleted post. As for Bynes? She posted the same sonogram with the caption, “Baby on board” before taking that down as well.[video_embed id='1902362']RELATED: What to know if you’re considering therapy[/video_embed]“When I saw the Instagram posts I immediately launched an investigation into their origin,” Bynes’ lawyer, David A. Esquibias told E! News in a statement. “Since then I have been successful in causing these posts to be removed. I ask the media and the public to afford Amanda privacy during these difficult times.”Now, sources are saying that Bynes is indeed expecting, despite the deleted posts. “Amanda is just barely pregnant and she is very happy,” Us Weekly reports. Meanwhile the publication also claims an eyewitness saw Bynes at a doctor’s office in Los Angeles where she was reportedly waiting with a female friend. “She seemed excited,” the insider said. “She was dressed casual and keeping a low profile. The lobby was pretty empty so no one bugged her.”As far as fans know, Bynes has been in a treatment centre to continue caring for her mental health issues. She’s currently under her mother’s conservatorship and has been since 2014 following a psychiatric hold the year before. The 33-year-old has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and manic depression, and while she seems to have realized that being out of the spotlight is the best thing for her health, she is supposedly looking to gain some more control of her treatment plan.“Today I want to talk about a controversial topic: My conservatorship case,” Bynes said in a February 21 video that has since been removed. “I have been going to a treatment center that charges $5,200 a month. There’s no reason why I shouldn’t go to a therapist who takes my insurance for $5,000 less a month. This is why I’ve asked to see the judge next week regarding this conservatorship issue.”Under the conservatorship Bynes’ parents would have to approve of her actual wedding to Michael, which sources claimed to Us Weekly wasn’t going to happen because they felt their daughter needed a “controlled environment.” It’s unclear what kind of role her parents will have in terms of the pregnancy or their grandchild, although according to the E! News report they’re aware of their daughter’s pregnancy.Meanwhile Bynes has some other milestones to celebrate. In addition to her pregnancy, March officially marks 14 months of sobriety. Her fans can only hope the upcoming addition to her family will be even more motivation to keep her journey strong.[video_embed id='1923286']BEFORE YOU GO: Canadian doctor talks about the brewing storm and Tylenol vs. Advil[/video_embed]
