Alex Trebek says he's ‘feeling great’ in an update to fans

Alex Trebek is a Canadian moustachio’d treasure. The Jeopardy! host has been entertaining us in our living rooms for almost 40 years and has taught us all of life lessons in the form of a question. So when he announced earlier this year that he was battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer, fans around the world rallied behind him. Now, for the summer break (which came about early because of the COVID-19 global pandemic), he has appeared in a video posted to Jeopardy!’s official YouTube channel, letting us know that *phewf* he’s “feeling great.”“I am doing well,” he shared during his quick health update. “I have been continuing my treatment and it is paying off, though it does fatigue me a great deal. My numbers are good. I am feeling great.”Okay, everyone rushing to Twitter to figure out why Alex Trebek is trending. He’s fine! Stand down from red alert! *wipes brow*Since the COVID-19 global pandemic shut down all movie and TV productions in Hollywood, Alex informed us that Jeopardy! will start airing classic episodes from the vault, including the very first show that premiered in 1984. He’s at home now, recording intro’s for them, and yes, he will be returning for the next season!“I can't wait to return to the studio and start recording shows for the new season in September,” he announced. Um, we’ll take “Amazing News in 2020” for $1000, Alex.Turns out he’s also been putting our stay-at-home self-isolation orders to good use, as he also wrote a memoir called The Answer Is …Reflections on My Life, which will hit the shelves on July 21^st.But the book isn’t the only thing he’s been able to create. “Whenever there's a break in the Jeopardy! tape schedule, I often take that opportunity to grow some facial hair. Clearly, I've been doing that while waiting for us to safely return to the studio, which I hope will be very, very soon.” If there isn’t a Twitter account dedicated to Trebek’s moustache, that needs to happen pronto.
