Alex Rodriguez may have been the boss on the baseball field, but in his own house, he’s second in command. Most of the time. The former Yankee was on the Today Show on Wednesday and discussed what life is like for him and fiancée Jennifer Lopez and their four kids. According to Rodriguez, he’s the boss…until Lopez gets home. Yeah, that checks out.The couple share custody of Lopez’s twins Emme and Maximiliam with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Rodriguez’s daughters Natasha and Ella with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis. Speaking with guest co-host Andy Cohen on Today with Hoda & Jenna, Rodriguez gave a quick rundown for how things work in their shared household. “Before she gets home, I’m the boss,” said Rodriguez. “Andy, when I get home, I’m like, ‘I’m security, I’m Uber, I’m the teacher,’” playfully adding “We have four kids and no one listens to Dad.” Celebrities – they’re just like us!The celebrity A-list couple and constant #fitgoals have been dating since 2017 and announced their engagement two years later in March 2019. But wedding planning will have to wait; after wrapping filming on her hit film Hustlers, Lopez quickly moved into rehearsal mode for the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show. Rodriguez spoke about the moment Lopez got the call asking her to play the Super Bowl, saying it had been a lifelong dream. “Who doesn’t want to play at the Super Bowl?” said Rodriguez. “She’s always wanted it. She’s been close a few times. When we got that call from Roger Goodell and the league and Jay-Z, we were thrilled and she was in tears.”When asked whether Lopez has begun rehearsals for her joint Super Bowl performance with Shakira, Rodriguez once again gave an answer we all could have predicted. “She’s been in rehearsal for six weeks.” No kidding. Lopez is fresh off her It’s My Party Tour and should have no trouble delivering what is sure to be a high-energy Super Bowl performance in February. The global superstar has still managed to make time for friends and family even with her hectic schedule. At the request of Donatella Versace, Lopez recently walked in the Versace fashion show and revisited her iconic green dress, later throwing a star-studded party for her 50th birthday. From playing the Super Bowl to running a household with four teenagers, there isn’t much that J Lo can’t make look easy.
