Adam Brody and Leighton Meester welcome their second child

Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, your respective Gossip Girl and O.C. teen drama obsessions, have welcomed their second child into the world — an announcement Brody made over the video game live streaming site Twitch (we’re just going to go ahead and assume that he at least put in a phone call or two to the grandparents first). "I have a new kid. Since last I played, I have a new kid," said Brody during a streaming session of The Fun Time Boys Game Night Spectacular. "I have a boy, and he's a dream. He's a dream boy."The new baby, who is sure to become well-versed in the trivia and gaming worlds, joins big sister Arlo Day, born to Meester and Brody back in 2015, a year after their 2014 nuptials. Meester, who starred alongside her husband in the recently-cancelled sitcom Single Parents, says that their work on the series has influenced the way she looks at being a parent."Nobody can tell you what parenthood is going to be like," she told Glamour magazine. "You think you know, and then it's just so hard. I feel so, so lucky that I have help and a husband. I feel stable, but there are so many people who don't have that. In a really tender way, Single Parents explores how parenting is an emotional roller coaster."Both Brody and Meester are notoriously private about their family life — when news broke about Meester’s most recent pregnancy, it was via a paparazzi photo taken in L.A. while the actor was out for a casual springtime stroll. Instead of documenting her life at home, her social media accounts are mostly focused on her work on set and her activism. Meester is a longtime supporter of the organization Feeding America — even more so since the onset of the pandemic has decreased people’s access to healthy, affordable food.
