For a while there, things were looking up for Aaron Carter. He had battled back from some serious health issues and those close to him were hopeful — until September, when things between the singer and his family took an ugly turn. Now, the Carter family matriarch is sharing just how bad things have gotten.Aaron showed up at his mother Jane's doorstep and she was "instantly alarmed" at what she saw. She told
TMZ that he lost a terrifying amount of weight in a short time, going from nearly 160 pounds to a dangerously low 115 pounds.
TMZ's sources said Aaron's latest health issues stem from the stress associated with the restraining orders filed against him by his twin sister, Angel, and his brother, singer Nick Carter.In case you need a refresher, it was back in September that Nick and Angel were
forced to get restraining orders against Aaron, alleging he threatened to kill Nick's then-pregnant wife, Lauren (she and Nick welcomed their second daughter in early October). News of the restraining orders came shortly after Aaron appeared on
The Doctors where he revealed all the mental health issues he was struggling with. His
tattoo choice was also seen as cause for alarm.
TMZ reports that Aaron has a hearing scheduled for next week to address both restraining orders, but his latest health scare might make it difficult to attend. According to Jane, her son's blood pressure and heart are being monitored, and they are awaiting results. Mrs. Carter (a.k.a. Mamma Jane)
took to Twitter to announce that she would be handling Aaron's social media accounts. Shortly after, she posted a pic of her son in a hospital bed on his Instagram with the caption, "Mommas gonna take care of you."
Sadly it appears as though Aaron is still in a dark place and back in control of his own Twitter account, having sent a series of
vulgar and
