British actress Rebecca Ferguson has starred in some major Hollywood blockbusters, like Dune, The Mission Impossible series, The Greatest Showman, and The Girl on the Train. With big blockbusters comes big-name co-stars, like Tom Cruise, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, Hugh Grant, Michael Fassbender, and more.

However, in a new interview, Ferguson spilled some major tea about one unnamed co-star whom she indicated was number one on the call sheet (meaning, they’re the big headliner on the movie) who insulted her on set and made her cry.

Speaking on the “Reign with Josh Smith” podcast to promote the Dune 2 sequel, Ferguson states quite bravely, “I did a film with an absolute idiot of a co-star,” she begins, noting that it wasn’t Hugh Jackman or Tom Cruise right off the bat.

“And this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out,” she said, not even hinting at the actor’s gender. “And I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at and I would cry walking off set.”

“This person would literally look at me in front of the whole crew and say, ‘You call yourself an actor? This is what I have to work with?’ I stood there just breaking,” Ferguson continued. “Because this person was number one on the call sheet, there was no safety net for me. No one had my back.”

She arrived on set the next day and told the anonymous-as-of-yet actor, “You get off my set. You can F off. I’m gonna work towards a tennis ball. I never want to see you again.”

“And then I remember the producers came up and said, ‘You can’t do this to number one. We have to let this person be on set,'” she remarked. “And I said, ‘The person can turn around and I can act to the back of the head.’ And I did. I was so scared. I feel it now when I’m saying it.”

She says the director ultimately agreed with her saying,  “You’re right. I am not taking care of everyone else. I’m trying to fluff this person because it’s so unstable”

“It was great from that moment, but it took so long for me to get to that,” she concluded.

This clip has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), with netizens trying to sleuth their way through Ferguson’s IMDB, her red carpet pictures, her media interviews, and more to try and figure out which A list celeb done her dirrrrty.

Right off the bat, before the mob could come for him, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, with whom she co-starred with in 2014’s Hercules, said it wasn’t him.

“Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bulls**t,” Johnson posted on X. “Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on our set. I love that woman. I’d like to find out who did this.”

So then social media users set their sights on some of her other co-stars, like Tom Cruise.

But let’s not forget she flat-out said it wasn’t him! Next on the suspect list was both Jake Gyllenhaal, with whom she co-starred in 2017’s Life, and then Michael Fassbender, who shared the screen with her in The Snowman. However, netizens unearthed some interviews with Ferguson and Fassbender together that made them seem rather chummy.

Then, netizens were very quick to discount Gyllenhaal because of Hugh Grant (they starred together in Florence Foster Jenkins), who has a reputation for being a bit difficult on set.

So it looks like right now, Hugh Grant, who once dared to give Meryl Streep acting tips on set, might be the biggest culprit, but at press time, neither he nor any of the other suspects have disqualified themselves from the running.
