Being a celebrity is weird. On top of perfecting your craft, you have to read mean tweets about yourself for Jimmy Kimmel’s amusement, or in this case, answer questions about how often you bathe. Actor, wrestler, and Kevin Hart’s BFF, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has come out firmly on the opposite side of Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Jake Gyllenhaal – all of whom have said bathing is something that happens only when the stink rises to the top.

The Rock can smell what they’re cooking, and he’s not having it.

"Nope, I'm the opposite of a 'not washing themselves' celeb," Dwayne  wrote on Friday the 6th on Twitter in answer to a fan question. "Shower (cold) when I roll outta bed to get my day rollin'. Shower (warm) after my workout before work. Shower (hot) after I get home from work.”

He also added this little tidbit for our amusement, “Face wash, body wash, exfoliate and I sing (off key) in the shower."

We can totally see this.

The whole celebs-who-don’t-bathe debacle began when at the end of July, Hollywood power couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis appeared on ol’ Punk’d buddy Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert, where co-host Monica Padman asked them about bathing their kids, to which Mila responded, “I didn’t have hot water growing up as a child, so I didn’t shower much anyway. …But when I had children, I also didn’t wash them every day. I wasn’t that parent that bathed my newborns — ever.”

Her husband then chimed in, “Now, here’s the thing: If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point.”

Then Shepard and wife Kristen Bell went on The View to double-down and say, hey, we ain’t much bathers either.

“I'm a big fan of waiting for the stink,” Kristen said. “Once you catch a whiff, that's biology's way of letting you know you need to clean it up. There's a red flag. Honestly, it's just bacteria; once you get bacteria you gotta be like, 'Get in the tub or the shower.’”

Then, Hollywood hunk Jake Gyllenhaal admitted that he doesn’t get sudsy until he gets greasy.

“More and more I find bathing to be less necessary, at times,” the Brokeback Mountain star told Vanity Fair on August 5. “I do also think that there’s a whole world of not bathing that is also really helpful for skin maintenance, and we naturally clean ourselves.”

Look, we’re not saying that Dwayne now has to release a fragrance line that contains his fresh and clean body scent but . . .  okay that’s exactly what we’re saying. And the bottle has to come with a fanny pack.
