The Internet is having a field day with James Corden thrusting in a mouse costume

That’s one overzealous pelvis.

This is not the Cinderella of your childhood. During his latest instalment of Crosswalk the Musical, The Late Late Show’s James Corden danced in support of the upcoming Camila Cabello-fronted Cinderella remake and put more than his tail(bone) into the performance. Corden delivered an enthusiastic pelvis thrust in his mouse suit, making fans question everything they know about the Disney classic. Someone cover Gus Gus’ eyes

Corden’s latest instalment of the recurring segment on The Late Late Show has yet to air, but a Twitter user who inadvertently became part of the Cinderella musical filmed and uploaded a clip on their channel. There’s a lot to take in, but the big cheese is obviously a grown man thrusting in a mouse suit to Jennifer Lopez’s “Let’s Get Loud.” At least it wasn’t “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes.”

The clip has already amassed over 18 million views in only three days and has inspired a lot of responses to Corden’s enthusiastic performance. It’s probably not going to be a Tony contender. You know your hip thrust really hits home when there’s a performance with Camila Cabello, Idina Menzel and Billy Porter and the only thing people notice is a giant mouse gyrating.

It was a lot of ‘two thumbs down’ reviews.

A lover of all things musical, the Cinderella special is Corden’s latest chance to show off his showmanship, plus his flexibility. Past G-rated performances have included Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Les Miserables, The Sound of Music, Frozen, Aladdin and Grease, which shockingly wasn’t as dirty as Cinderella (Rizzo would approve a hip thrust). Maybe The Late Late Show can tackle Kinky Boots or Hairspray next. We think Corden and his overzealous pelvis are ready.

Cinderella, which stars Cabello along with Porter, Menzel, Pierce Brosnan, Nicholas Galitzine and yes, James Corden, will be released on Amazon Prime on September 3. TBD on whether the hip thrust made the final cut or is part of the extended version.
