Whatcha gonna do when you’ve been cast to play the world’s most iconic wrestler, Hulk Hogan? Make arms day every day and sleep at the gym? Luckily, Chris Hemsworth has a head start when it comes to portraying the ‘80s WWF/WWE wrestling sensation in an upcoming biopic. The Australian actor just wrapped filming on Thor: Love and Thunder. All that Norse hammer-wielding is about to pay off in his upcoming project. Even Hogan himself is impressed with Hemsworth’s bulging biceps, triceps, and… other arm muscle-parts.

"My brother has that Hogan Pump on Jack, looks like he could slam Andre brother," wrote Hogan in a repost the wrestler shared to his Instagram account, cropping and zooming in on a photo Hemsworth had shared to celebrate the final days of the set of the newest Thor movie (due out next February). Andre, of course, is none other than the late wrestler Andre the Giant (who you may also know from his role in The Princess Bride).

Hemsworth employed a bit more irony in his own caption of the photo, writing, “That’s a wrap on Thor Love and Thunder, it’s also national don’t flex day so I thought this super relaxed photo was appropriate.” Ah, we can almost feel the relaxation running through those veiny forearms!

The actor is getting ready to “run wild” as the Hulkster in a biopic directed by Joker filmmaker Todd Phillips. Instead of trying to capture the entire arc of Hogan’s (born Terry Eugene Bollea) life, the film is reportedly an “origin story of the Hulkster and Hulkamania.” Translation: pre-sex tape lawsuit Hogan. The Hulk will act as both a consultant and a producer on the film.

In terms of bulking up, Hemsworth knew what he was signing on for, telling GamesRadar last year that he was looking forward to researching the world of entertainment wrestling and its colourful characters. "This movie is going to be a really fun project. As you can imagine, the preparation for the role will be insanely physical. I will have to put on more size than I ever have before, even more than I put on for Thor. There is the accent as well as the physicality and the attitude."

And there’s that all that moustache-growing to tackle, too. We hope Chris stocks up on hair gummies, stat.
