You can never have enough LeVar Burton in your life. Facts are facts. LeVar’s fans certainly think so: after months of lobbying Jeopardy! hard to cast him as a guest host, this week it was announced their efforts finally worked. But we need more.

Which is why Canadian icon Ryan Reynolds has recruited the Star Trek: The Next Generation superstar for his latest Aviation gin commercial.

Tweeting, “Officially starting the @levarburton for literally everything campaign,” Ryan posted the commercial where he announces he's jumping on the bandwagon and introduces the Reading Rainbow legend. “Everybody’s been saying how great LeVar Burton is. So I decided to have him step in for me as spokesperson for Aviation Gin.”

LeVar, looking far more dapper than Ryan in his white suit jacket, is lounging poolside and taking his new duties very seriously.

“The smooth refreshing taste of Aviation American Gin for an out of this world gin and tonic,” LeVar says. (Get it? Because Star Trek.) To drive the point home, he even raises one eyebrow à la Mr. Spock. Too many amazing Easter eggs in one short commercial!

“Now that man is a god damn national treasure,” Ryan quips as the screen fades to black, “and he’s probably too good for us.”

The Jeopardy! guest host and the Deadpool hero banter back and forth in the black void on screen before LeVar pops back up to announce, “This isn’t going to work out, Ryan.”

On Wednesday, our pal Geordi tweeted the good news that, after months of lobbying, he would finally occupy the guest host slot on Jeopardy! this season, saying, “I am overjoyed, excited, and eager to be guest-hosting Jeopardy!, and will do my utmost best to live up to your faith you in me. YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE!”

“Go ahead and take my word for it, this time,” he added, referencing his famous Reading Rainbow catchphrase.

Ryan then congratulated his new bestie, tweeting, “This needs to be a permanent gig.”

We concur.

So where do we sign up for that LeVar Burton for literally everything campaign?
