If you were watching SNL over the weekend and you fell in love with Kid Cudi’s Off-White dress, have no fear because it could also be yours! The rapper says that the Kurt Cobain-inspired floral dress will be included in a new collection he's working on with Virgil Abloh.

“Virgil designed the dress for me,” Kid Cudi tweeted on Sunday. “I told him I wanted to show love to Kurt w a floral print sundress and this man made a masterpiece.  Thank You @virgilabloh ur a f**kin genius!! Love you man we did it!!!”

In another tweet, the 37-year-old rapper revealed that he’s doing a collection with Off-White and the dress will be included.

Cudi’s spaghetti-strap floral dress was a nod to the late Kurt Cobain. The “Erase Me” rapper’s SNL performance comes a few days after the anniversary of the day Cobain died in 1994 at the age of 27.

The “Day ‘n’ Night” rapper wore two outfits during his time on the late-night comedy sketch series that were similar to ones that Cobain previously wore.

When he first hit the stage for a performance of “Tequila Shots” from his most recent album Man on the Moon III: The Chosen, Cudi wore a green cardigan that looked very similar to the one that the late Nirvana rocker wore during an MTV Unplugged concert in 1993. He also wore a t-shirt honouring the late SNL cast member Chris Farley, who died in 1997.

Cudi also performed his song “Sad People” in the floral dress which was similar to the one that Cobain wore on the 1993 cover of The Face magazine.

Abloh told GQ that he and Cudi have a history "that goes back 10 years" and when he was on the set of a movie shooting something and he told Abloh he needed a dress for SNL

"The beauty about now, is our generation, piece by piece, can dismantle norms. 2020 was a year of reckoning about how the system in place that governs us as people is out of date. My work exists in the space of pop culture," Abloh added. "Gender norms and racial freedoms are amongst the most important things in society that need to be updated."

The designer said that moments like this let him know that there is space for intellect and risk for the sake of expanding space. "I could care less about the attention. I hope today there’s some kid in middle America that feels empowered by what Cudi used our privilege and platform to do."

Many fans of Cudi took to Twitter to discuss his tribute to Cobain's legacy.

During his time on SNL this weekend, Cudi also made a statement wearing a grill made by Ben Baller that looked like a TV pixelation pattern.

Baller shared a video of Cudi wearing the grill, writing, "A closer look. I’ll post professional pics on Monday.” He continued, “Now where is that idiot who said I must feel stupid for posting a stock pic. bro it’s literally the artwork inspo that Scott gave me.”

A diamond-encrusted grill is probably way out of our price range, but we'll admire it from afar.
