The Biebs turned 27 and celebrated with a trip to Paris

Like most Canadians, I’ve been following our government’s pandemic rules to avoid non-essential travel and stay home. Don’t get me wrong, I miss concerts and travel and hugging my family, but I also follow rules, especially when they affect the wellbeing of my fellow citizens. Alas, Justin Bieber lives in a very different universe than me, one that lets him take a private chartered jet to Paris to celebrate his birthday. 

This week, the Stratford native turned 27 and was spotted all over the French capital with Hailey arm-in-arm, showing off their elevated street style. Technically, he was there for work, too—J was spotted shooting a new music video at the five-star Hôtel de Crillon on the Champs-Elysées. 

Other stars stayed closer to home, and still looked good doing it. Scroll to see.

Whitney Peak

The new Gossip Girl continues to film around New York City, and I am here for the style. The pleated plaid overall skirt Whitney wore with one strap undone was made less prep with lace-up boots and a slouchy knit cardigan. 

Justin and Hailey Bieber

Sure, some born and raised Parisians might scoff at these looks and consider them le plouc (if you watched Emily in Paris, you know), but I’m into ’em. Both Justin and Hailey are expressing themselves through fashion, and that’s something I can always get behind. Heck, they look adorbs walking hand-in-hand, too. 

Olivia Palermo and Nicky Hilton

Just a couple of weeks ago, I talked about these two both being born in New York and how their style always sort of reflects the city. This week, the pair were out together in Soho looking like sartorial besties, with Olivia in all black and Nicky opting for more spring hues.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall ran errands in Los Angeles this week and her white-on-white fit has me hyped for spring. This is such an easy, but put-together look anyone can pull off: cream tee, white boot-cut pants and white sneakers. Top with a mask and you’re good to go.

Sofia Vergara

Sofia was spotted picking up groceries at L.A.’s Eataly this week, and she looked like all of us about to head into a shop as she pulled her mask on. The actress' distressed denim was on point, and I’m into those wedge slides, too.

Draya Michele and Tyrod Taylor

The swimsuit designer was snapped at Hollywood’s Nobu with NFL bf Tyrod Taylor this week. This pair looked casual in denim and silk bombers, but still put together as they stepped into the restaurant masked up. 

Justin Bieber

While Justin spent most of his time in Paris with Hailey, he did step out on his own a few times. How Canadian-in-Paris is this fluorescent pink toque, zip-up fleece and baggy jeans? 

Bella Hadid

New York may be Bella’s second home, but I love how the city looks on the L.A.-native. This week, she continued that nod-to-the-90s style she’s been going for as of late, with a pair of wide-legged denim, denim button-up vest and a taupe turtleneck worn underneath. Cute plaid mask, too.

Jordan Alexander 

Like Whitney, Jordan Alexander’s also been cast on the Gossip Girl reboot and her style is one to watch. The knee-high boots in a dreamy dove grey, black bike shorts, a Heather grey hoodie and a navy button-up jacket are like the sartorial version of a Long Island Iced Tea—the ingredients sound weird when read singularly, but just make sense once you try them mixed together.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones

This past weekend, the Golden Globes went digital for the first time ever, but that didn’t stop stars from dressing up. Catherine Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas put on their best threads—this year that meant accessorizing with black masks—to celebrate the annual ceremony.

Nick Jonas

If it’s raining, snowing, or a generally blah day wherever you are today, let Nick Jonas’ look make things a little brighter. The musician hosted Saturday Night Live last weekend and was also the musical guest; these two sunshiny pieces he wore to rehearsals made an overcast day in New York slightly less so.  

Jude Law and Phillipa Coan

Jude Law and his partner Phillipa Coan have spent the pandemic in the U.K. and were snapped waiting out front of a cafe in Highgate, a posh suburb of London. Phillipa looked stylish with her black boots and cigarette pants, all while carrying her newborn—it’s their first together and the sixth for Jude. 

Gigi Hadid

As Gigi’s daughter, Khai, gets a little older, the model seems to be stepping out more often. Still, she wasn’t giving anything away this week when she appeared incognito in a chartreuse knit toque, oversized paisley button-up sweater, relaxed grey denim and black slip-on boots. The white plastic-framed sunnies and mask also made her hard to spot.

Scott Disick

Kourtney K’s ex is in Miami with his new gf, Amelia Gray Hamlin, 19, and the pair have been touring around. Scott took the athleisure route for one of his outings, pulling on a zip-up windbreaker, athletic shorts and yellow and blue Nikes.  

Irina Shayk

We see Irina with her daughter in New York often, but this week the model spent some alone time in Italy with a friend. The star looked a touch more put together (as if that’s possible) than usual, with her hair pulled back under a silk handkerchief and a clip holding things in place. It’s not that noticeable, but I love the hint of fuchsia eye makeup.
