Wearing a face mask in public has been easy enough to adapt to. Truthfully, I like wearing a mask; I’ve collected a bunch of cool handmade ones over the past year. Still, face masks mean people are harder to recognize (which, on some days, is actually another tick in the “Pro” column). I’ve definitely walked by my very own masked-up sister-in-law while cruising the chip aisle, only to get a text message from her later that evening asking if I was ignoring her.

Some stars seem to be embracing the incognito effect that comes with masking up, Rihanna included.

Scroll on to see which celebrities were snapped showing off their street style looks, mostly masked up, this week.

Rihanna

I could’ve passed by Rihanna as she was leaving Santa Monica’s Giorgio Baldi restaurant and I wouldn’t have even noticed. The star’s ball cap and oversized white sunnies help hide her identity, but the mask puts it over the top. That said, maybe I would’ve guessed it was her from the fashion… only Riri could pull off blue cargos and a fur stole.

Katie Holmes and Emilio Vitolo Jr.

Kate and her chef boyfriend Emilio were out in New York doing getting in some retail therapy. The duo look ready for spring and I can’t blame them in the slightest.

Sara Sampaio

Model Sara Sampaio sported LA’s go-to uniform: tights, crewneck sweatshirt, sneakers (preferably Nikes), mask, designer handbag. It’s casual, it’s cozy, and I’m not upset about it.

Winnie Harlow

Winnie is the face for Puma’s latest ad campaign and the model was hard at work shooting some ads with the brand this week. It’s a cool sneak peek of what’s to come from the athletic apparel company, but more importantly, can we admire how incredible Winnie looks, plz.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is overseas at the moment, and her fashion choices have been amazing. This white high-waisted pantsuit is stunning and that studded bag and shimmery mask are oh-so Mother Monster.

Tracy Morgan

Leave it to Tracy Morgan to show up to the Apollo Theatre in New York’s Harlem in a purple Rolls-Royce. The rest of his fit was super low-key compared to the luxury car he arrived in, but I like the high-low mix of it all.

Kendall Jenner

The pandemic hasn’t slowed Kendall’s workout regime in the slightest. Like Sara, the model also pulled on the LA-approved workout fit: crewneck, tights, sneakers, mask, repeat.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

Do you think these two wake up and decide to coordinate their looks? Or are they so intune from being together for years and years that they always naturally compliment one another? I have to imagine it’s a bit of both, but one thing’s for sure: those hot pink silk thigh-high boots are 🤯.

Jordan Alexander

Jordan is definitely going to be one of the ones to watch for style inspo on the Gossip Girl reboot. From these scenes I’ve seen of her on set so far, her fits are so fresh and easy to replicate IRL.

Bella Hadid

Like Rihanna, Bella was also nearly unrecognizable in her plaid hat, brown sunnies and matching mask. Are you embracing the loose, low-rise pants that are making a come-back? Bella sure is.

Helena Christensen

The iconic Danish model masked up to take her pup for a walk in New York looking cheery in a mint green top and lilac pants. Even if it does snow a few more times before the new season officially arrives, these colours have got me excited for warm weather.

Selma Blair

I am forever inspired by Selma’s grit and bravery as she shares her battle with MS on social media. She looked polished and powerful in this blazer, chinos and riding boots.

Paris Hilton

Paris and fiance Carter Reum dined out this week at Nobu in LA, giving them both a reason to dress up. Paris went for a sheer maxi and Valentino heels while Carter went for slim denim and high-tops.

Sarah Jessica Parker

Plaid usually dominates the runway and trend reports in autumn, but SJP is making it a thing this spring. The actor and entrepreneur paired her studious looking bottom half with a casual tee and bright pink mask.

Rumer Willis

I’m enjoying the growing number of celebs who are choosing to carry their pets like accessories. This week, Rumer had her pupper slung over her shoulder in a bag and matched the carrier to her Converse which is impressive.
