Pete Davidson and Phoebe Dynevor spark dating rumours

Here’s a rumoured new couple we didn’t see coming but after a moment of reflection can totally see happening. Comedian and Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson is reportedly dating Bridgerton breakout actor Phoebe Dynevor. Dear readers, do we think this a ruse or do the two truly burn for each other? Spring is here and courting season is upon us, so…TBD.

Page Six is reporting that the pair have been spotted on each other’s side of the pond, which admittedly could be a coincidence, but it’s nice to think of people in love, so let’s go with it. The site is reporting that Davidson, 27 and Dynevor, 25, have been spending time together both in New York and in England.

On February 9, Dynevor posted snowy pictures of her walking tour through Brooklyn, captioning the Instagram album “Grateful I got to be here for a hot sec.”

Before landing her breakthrough role on Bridgerton, Dynevor had a small recurring role on the Darren Star series Younger where she played the love interest to Nico Tortorella’s Josh. Dynevor was cast as an Irish bartender with whom Tortorella’s character eventually has a child with. The series films on location in New York and Dynevor frequently posts about her visits back to the Big Apple, so it’s possible that Dynevor was in town visiting friends, filming scenes for the finale season of Younger….or hanging out with Pete Davidson.

The pictures were shared more than a week before her Bridgerton co-star and rumored real-life love interested Rege-Jean Page hosted Saturday Night Live on February 20, which squashes the idea that the two were in the city together. Dynevor and Page have repeatedly denied rumors they are dating, with Dynevor delivering a final and resounding ‘no’ in a February 14 interview with You magazine.

“I’d love to say there was really something between us, but no, it has always been strictly professional,” Dynevor told the mag. “There was so much pressure on us to get it right that it was all about the work. We have a really professional working relationship. I’m glad for that, actually. It would be very complicated if it went further.”

That same week, Page was spotted hugging and kissing rumoured girlfriend Emily Brown, with whom he reportedly shares a home with in London. So, shoot your shot, Pete.

Davidson, who is no longer on social media, was photographed by a fan in Altrincham, Greater Manchester on March 21. The picture was shared on Facebook according to Page Six and the fan captioned the image, “Bizarre Altrincham spot of the day … he’s staying over in Altrincham with friends.” Dynevor is also currently in Manchester and is living with her mother, Coronation Street actor Sally Dyvenor.

Neither Dynevor nor Davidson have commented on the rumours of their relationship status but dating Dynevor would likely be a welcome distraction for Davidson in light of the recent headlines around his personal life. Earlier this month, a woman claimed she was Davidson’s wife and sent out a fake press release, adding that their pair had started a production company together. She was arrested soon after for trespassing on Davidson’s property, including entering his home illegally while Davidson’s mother was in the house.

Davidson and the rest of the SNL cast return with new episodes this week with host Maya Rudolph and musical guest Jack Harlow. Season two of Bridgerton is expected to begin filming this spring. Let’s hope the Shondaland production makes haste with getting viewers new episodes.
