Alex Rodriquez has confirmed that he’s actually “not single” following reports that he and JLo had broken up two years after announcing their engagement. Page Six reported the rumoured breakup on Friday after a source told the outlet that the couple was “on the rocks and headed for Splitsville.”

“He’s now in Miami getting ready for baseball season, and she’s filming her movie in the Dominican Republic,” the source added. Well, according to the couple, that source was wrong.

On Saturday, A-Rod announced that they were “working through some things” in their relationship. TMZ stopped A-Rod outside of a gym in Miami and told them that he’s “not single.” The convo was interrupted when his phone rang, and he told the caller he’d call them back and called the person on the other line “baby.”

On Monday, Rodriquez flew to the Dominican Republic, where Lopez has been shooting Shotgun Wedding. He posted a video overlooking a luxurious resort in D.R. and wrote, "Happy Monday. New week, New day. Onward. Upward." Oh, and he also tagged Lopez in the post to let the fans know they are together.

The couple also released a joint statement on Saturday, confirming that they were working on their relationship. “We are working through some things,” they said a statement to People.

JLo also addressed the breakup rumours separately in a video she posted to social media on Sunday. The video featured clips of the singer and a few headlines about their relationship. The video is set to Saweetie’s “Pretty B—ch Freestyle.” I know that’s right! Whoever runs JLo’s social media gets an A+ because this response was *chef’s kiss.*

Saweetie tweeted the video and wrote, “this was beautifully put together!!! I KNOW DAS RIGGGGHT !!!”

After reports of the breakup were released, it was unclear if Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy has anything to do with alleged the split. In February, the Bravo star revealed that she had a flirtation with Rodriguez during his relationship with Lopez.

Now, a source has confirmed to People that the alleged affair with LeCroy "had no bearing on the rough patch at all."

“They never officially broke up and talked about it but are still together. They hit a rough patch. But were not broken up,” a source close to the pair said.

“She’s working in the Dominican Republic and he’s in Miami so it’s tough seeing each other, especially with quarantining and COVID,” the source adds of Lopez and Rodriguez, “but they want to try to stay together.”

A separate insider said, “This was not caused by a third party. Madison [LeCroy] or anyone else. They are working through things.” Just to make things clear, Madison LeCroy had nothing to do with this at all.

Lopez and Rodriguez announced their engagement in 2019 after dating for over two years. In December, Lopez told Access Hollywood that they cancelled their wedding due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“We’ve talked about so many different things ’cause we had to cancel the wedding … because of COVID, because of the quarantine. And we actually did it twice, which people don’t know,” Lopez said.

She also spoke to Andy Cohen on SiriusXM's Radio Andy about postponing their wedding plans the same month.

"We've talked about that for sure. I mean, at our age, we've both been married before, it's like, do we get married? Do we not? What does it mean for us?" she said. "It was really sad because we were supposed to get married in June and we had planned it all. So in March or April, we're looking down the pipe and we're going, 'This is maybe not going to happen.' Italy's the worst place in the world. And we were going to get married in Italy. It was, yeah, it was like, I was like, 'OK, we got to cancel everything.'"

JLo told Allure last month that she and Rodriquez had gone to therapy together. "I miss being creative and running on 150," Lopez told Allure. "But Alex, of all people, was like, 'I love it. I love being at home. I love doing my Zooms. I love knowing the kids are there, and you're there all the time.' It has been actually really good."

"We got to work on ourselves. We did therapy," she explained. "I think it was really helpful for us in our relationship."
