For months, rumours have floated that long-time friends and neighbours Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are a couple and, on Tuesday, the pair posted a photo on Instagram confirming they absolutely are.

The shot is a sweet one, of their interlocked hands. Although he isn't tagged on the post, her bright red nails are stark against his familiar tattooed hand. Kardashian posted the shot to her Instagram, which the Blink-182 drummer then reshared on his Instagram stories. Romance!

It's the first time the pair have directly acknowledged their relationship, though they've certainly sprinkled clues before. Kardashian previously posted a shot of her watching True Romance, Barker's favourite movie (he even named his daughter Alabama), while he's been leaving black heart emojis on a number of her posts recently. They also posted similar shots on Valentine's Day, with Kardashian also shouting out Blink-182 in her stories, writing, "Roses are red, violets are blue, garlic bread, Blink-182." The breadcrumbs, in other words, have been impossible to miss.

It's unclear how long Kardashian, 41, and Barker, 45, have been together, but their match is no unusual thing. The pair have been friends for 15 years, and first met in 2006, when Barker was dating Paris Hilton and Kourtney's sister Kim was working as her assistant. He encouraged the family to make their now hit reality series Keeping Up With The Kardashians after starring in his own pretty endearing family reality show, Meet The Barkers in 2005.

Soon after, he moved to Calabasas right by Kardashian and much of the family. Both share regular dinners, while their kids have also become friends. The drummer even appeared several times on KUWTK, along with Khloé Kardashian‘s Kocktails With Khloé.

In fact, it was in a key KUWTK episode that the comfort between the pair was evident when, in 2017, Kardashian's long-time partner Scott Disick relapsed on a family trip to Dubai. It was Barker who Kourtney went to confide in and spend time with.

The rumours about their coupling, then, have been around for some time. Back in March 2019, after her relationship with model Younes Bendjima, when she and Barker were spotted grabbing food together, he was asked if there might be anything between them.

Speaking to People, he said, "Kourtney's a dear friend. I mean, I love her to death. I love her family to death. But yeah, just friends."

While that love was already there, it seems now the two have finally found the right time to pursue something more.

Barker was previously married to Shanna Moakler, with whom he shares two children and, prior to her, Melissa Kennedy. Kardashian was previously in a relationship with Disick, with whom she has three children.

In fact, Kardashian's post comes just three days after Disick, 37, went Instagram-official with his remarkably young girlfriend Amelia Gray Hamlin, 19, and his new bleached do.
