Johnny Galecki and his girlfriend Alaina Meyer have sadly decided to go their separate ways. The pair first began dating in 2018 and welcomed a son last November. Neither party has released statement at this time.

The 45-year-old Big Bang Theory (stream now on CTV.ca and the CTV app) alum and 23-year-old model were first linked in August 2018 when they were spotted together during a vacation in the Bahamas. The pair went public with their relationship the following month with an Instagram photo and in November 2018 made their red carpet debut at the People’s Choice Awards. In May 2019, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together. Galecki shared the happy news on his Instagram page on May 3, writing “We are absolutely over the moon to announce that we will soon be welcoming a little one into this crazy and wonderful world. We ask that you please respect our privacy during this celebratory time for us and our families. There truly is love out there for all. We hope ours is the ember of yours, as we feel yours is the ember of ours.” That following month, the couple shared photos from a paint-filled gender reveal party and confirmed they were having a boy.

In December 2019, the couple announced on their social media accounts that they had welcomed their son Avery. Galecki posted a picture of the couple holding their infant son’s hand on December 4, writing “With full and grateful hearts we welcome our beautiful son into this incredible world. Thank you for all of your love and support.”

The last picture shared of the couple together was in April. Both Galecki and Meyer posted the same image of themselves posing with Avery and wished their followers a Happy Easter.

Galecki and Meyer have continued to post pictures with Avery since April, with Galecki sharing pictures of himself and Avery hanging out with musician Randy Houser and his young son.

Last week, Meyer shared a picture of herself in the bathtub with Avery to commemorate her son’s first birthday. Calling 2020 the "gnarliest year of her life," Meyer said she’s experienced the highest highs and lowest lows in the past 12 months. “It’s absolutely insane how time flies, watching this little one come into himself is the best gift,” wrote Meyer. “I am so grateful for his health and our journey together.”

On Monday, Galecki posted a birthday message for his Big Bang Theory co-star Kaley Cuoco, who turned 35 on November 30. “The happiest 74th birthday to my fake wife @kaleycuoco,” wrote Galecki to the Flight Attendant star. “You know how much I adore you and respect you. I’m so proud of all you are doing and so happy with your happiness. But most of all, our friendship and partnership over the years. XO, dear. Congratulations on 82 years of age.”

Galecki and Cuoco dated from 2008 until 2010 during the early years of Big Bang Theory and remained close friends following their split. In a recent interview with Dax Shepard and Monica Padman on Armchair Expert, Cuoco said that sex scenes between the couple were uncomfortable after their split, but noted that their friendship has continued to grow stronger. “Luckily Johnny and I came out of it so brilliantly and we’re closer today than we ever were,” said Cuoco.
