When Billboard named Cardi B Woman of the Year, many people thought it was a bit of a stretch because she only released the one (amazing) song in 2020. It didn't take long, however, for the 28-year-old rapper to respond to her haters and let them know that she's been working hard all year and she's done a lot more than just music.Cardi shut down her "cry baby" critics and took to Instagram to explain why she deserves the coveted award. "It's your girl Cardi B, and yes, I am Woman of the Year. For you cry babies like, ‘What? She only got one song.' Yeah, I got THAT song, b**ch. You know, the one that sold the most, the one that streamed the most," the "WAP" rapper said, adding that the song "had Republicans crying on Fox News," and it's also about to go six times platinum in three months."The one that had your grandma popping her p**sy on TikTok. Yeah, b**ch, that one," Cardi said before mentioning her political activism throughout 2020. She said that she's been using her platform for over a year to influence her followers to go vote and "not just when Joe Biden was going up against Trump." Cardi said she informed her fans about their senators, districts and midterm elections.

"Using my money, my own money, to meet up with these candidates like Bernie [Sanders]. Flying out, tired after shows. Yeah, that's me, b***ch," she added. "Even when y'all were crying like 'But you don't represent us,' yes I do b**ch. I represent America." Cardi said she wanted a change, and that's "exactly what the f**k" she did. She closed her video by telling her haters that she is "that b**ch" and to "eat it up with a spoon." Who could argue with that? The answer is no one.[video_embed id='2064236']RELATED: Cardi B shuts down racist response to her Birkin bags[/video_embed]The "Bodak Yellow" rapper dedicated her caption to her Bardi Gang for encouraging her "while the world was against me and criticizing every move."
