Model Emily Ratajkowski is going to be a mom! On Monday, the model/actor revealed that she is expecting her first child with her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard.The 29-year-old  announced the news through a digital cover shoot and a personal essay written for Vogue.Ratajkowski also filmed a pregnancy reveal video, directed by friend and star of Girls Lena Dunham, where she showed off her baby bump and shared footage from an ultrasound."I dreamed of you for the first time the other night. You were swaddled in a blanket and floating. Your hair was dark brown before it curled and turned blond just like your father's," Ratajkowski narrates the video. "We are waiting for you, wondering who you will be."
“There’s a quietness that comes with pregnancy, a humbling,” she adds. “I’m listening for you. I’m full of wonder.”In her personal essay, Ratajkowski shares her feelings about revealing her baby's sex. She says that when her friends ask "do you know what you want," she replies, "we won’t know the gender until our child is 18 and that they’ll let us know then.""Everyone laughs at this. There is a truth to our line, though, one that hints at possibilities that are much more complex than whatever genitalia our child might be born with: the truth that we ultimately have no idea who—rather than what—is growing inside my belly," Ratajkowski adds. "Who will this person be? What kind of person will we become parents to? How will they change our lives and who we are? This is a wondrous and terrifying concept, one that renders us both helpless and humbled."There'll be no blue or pink surprise reveals at the Ratajkowski-Bear-McClard household, thank you very much.[video_embed id='2031470']RELATED: Is it time to scale back on gender reveal parties?[/video_embed]When it comes to the person who's going through this pregnancy, Ratajkowski ascertains it's definitely her.
