Max Ehrich is going public with his broken heart, plastering social media with pleas for ex-fiancée Demi Lovato to take him back (or at least acknowledge his existence). The couple started dating last March and announced their intention to marry in late July with the release of a series of beachy engagement photos posted to — no points for getting this right — social media. The recent breakup follows a previous social media meltdown in which fans and haters alike pointed out Ehrich’s Twitter odes to another pop star, Selena Gomez. The posts (now deleted) allegedly showed the Young and the Restless actor gushing over Lovato’s former friend and co-star Gomez, who he claimed he hoped to meet and work with one day (also, marry). The fan-boy missives read as awkward to say the least, but in light of his engagement to Lovato, they were potentially hurtful, too. For her part, Demi claimed that they were doctored in an Instagram story directed at her relationship detractors.[video_embed id='2043151']RELATED: Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich break off engagement[/video_embed]“It’s really sad when people FAKE images to put women against each other,” she wrote. “If women have conflict that’s between them NOT YOU.” At the time, it seemed as though she was sticking with Ehrich, but days later, the split was announced. Now her ex is using both Facebook and Instagram Stories to reach out to her, indicating that Demi might not be taking his calls and/or DMs right now.“Forgive me and come back to me please,” wrote Ehrich in a shocking Facebook post (shocking, because who knew that twenty-somethings still use Facebook). “If you’re reading this… I love you always… unconditionally… no matter what,” he wrote on Instagram Stories on Sunday, though the posts have now been deleted. The actor also revealed new information about the couple’s breakup, indicating that he doesn’t feel as though they’re truly both single yet. “To this moment… we haven’t spoken over the phone… we haven’t even officially ended anything to each other, literally,” he wrote. “I’m here in real time with y’all. I love Demetria and just want her to be healthy and safe,” he told his followers. Ehrich’s Instagram page continues to be heavy on the shirtless selfies, but he has yet to wipe all evidence of his feelings for Lovato from his online history. A post from late August in which he acts as the number one cheerleader of her music career still remains.A look at Lovato’s fiancé-free ‘gram, however, indicates that she’s done with Ehrich. While he spent his Sunday night professing undying love, she spent hers (according to her Stories) watching YouTube UFO documentaries.[video_embed id='2021405']BEFORE YOU GO: Woman films creepy doll moving on its own[/video_embed]
