The industry moguls, both legends in their own right, have faced romance rumours in the past. And now? They’re interviewing each other for a special, double episode of GQ and Vogue‘s "Face to Face” series. And honestly, it’s the collaboration we didn’t know we needed.
For the series, RiRi and A$AP got to ask each other 33 questions, covering topics like skincare, recent purchases under $20 (for A$AP? A t-shirt), their latest TV binge, and even their favourite curse words. Here’s what we found out:
1. The hardest part about working with RiRi is…
RiRi and A$AP are hardly strangers, especially when it comes to their careers (the two
recently collaborated on Rihanna’s new Fenty Skin line campaign). And, to be honest, A$AP hit this answer out of the park. “The hardest part about working with you is not goofing off and laughing the whole time. This s--t is
comedy, you know?” I mean, we don’t know, but we would love to be invited into the next project to find out.A$AP goes on to explain that the hardest part really, is not having
too much fun. RiRi smirks, looks off to the side and replies, “Yeah, that’s a good answer.” We swoon. Yeah, the chemistry is palpable.
2. Rihanna’s skin type is… complicated
When asked what her skin type is, the Barbadian singer replies with a smirk, “My skin type is, um, just as complicated as… men are.” A$AP starts to laugh, and RiRi continues, “Ya, you wasn’t ready for that. Because y'all always try to say women are complicated. IT’S Y'ALL.” Oh, and she also let us know that her #1 beauty icon is none other than her mother. “My entire concept of beauty came from her," she explains.Speaking to what they wish there was more of in the beauty industry, RiRi notes that inclusivity has become a big part of her mission in the space. When asked how he stays “mentally and inspirationally aligned," A$AP replies, “I think I’m more just a people person. To stay mentally and inspirationally aligned, I think it starts with the mental. I think you have to be in a good mental space to even be inspired.” RiRi, when asked, notes that it “calls for two different sides” of her brain and spirit, noting that it’s the “ying and the yang” and the core of who she is.
4. Rihanna’s favourite colour to wear…
“I love black, I love brown, I love… grey. But I really,
really love lime green. Lime green could be for anything.” Apparently, A$AP “loves that s--t too," so once again we wonder — why aren’t they dating?
