To put fans at ease, Pratt, who's wife Katherine Schwarzenegger is expecting their first child together, went on to explain that there is a reason for his out-of-control inbox. "See, what I do is I sign up for everything. I sign up for everything. I'm one of those idiots who will do, like, an IQ test and be like, ‘Wanna take an IQ test? Give me your email.' And then I do and then, you know, which proves my IQ is about 7 and I just get junk from everyone and I just don't erase it.” Honestly, Chris… same. But if you thought that’s where the hilarious story series ended, think again. Pratt, recognizing that there were, in fact, some important emails mixed in with the IQ tests, revealed he set a goal for himself to open 1,000 emails each day. But although his intentions were good, the star (almost immediately) made a rookie mistake. And by rookie mistake, we mean he accidentally deleted 51,000 messages. I'm trying not to panic. I think I just tried something to delete anything unread and it just deleted them. And now, I'm like, ‘Oh no. I needed to read ‘em.' I don't know where they went. So, and now my battery's dying. I think I got them all.” He also added, “If I owe you an email, you might want to follow up on that. Resubmit, perhaps, the email and then I'll read it because it may have just gotten deleted. Yup, 51,000 messages are in the trash. Oh, f—k." The following stories showcased his inbox count steadily decreasing, with Pratt commenting in the background, “All my email. Oh, my God. This could be a real nightmare.” Presumably similar to the reaction felt by anyone who has accidentally closed out of 12+ internet tabs at once, Pratt seemingly came to terms with his mistake, joking that this was his “fresh start”.Chris pratt today on Ig stories pic.twitter.com/UJxCKlgvSW
