The U.K celebrated Mother's Day this Sunday, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge marked the occasion by posting a touching to Diana, Princess of Wales, on the official Kensington Instagram account. In the photo, a young William is clutching his mother’s neck, a wide smile on his face, while younger brother Harry sits by her side. On Diana’s left hand is the iconic sapphire diamond ring which William gave to Kate upon their engagement. The Instagram post, which honoured moms across the U.K., also paid tribute to other moms affiliated with the Royal Family. In one adorable photo, Kate is piggy backing a giggling Princess Charlotte. The Duke can be seen in the background with their oldest son, Prince George. Definitely something we need to see right now.

As a mother, Diana was known for breaking the Royal tradition of hands-off parenting, choosing instead to be closely involved in her children’s upbringing. She wasn’t afraid to show candid affection towards her two boys, often being photographed playing and cuddling with them.[video_embed id='-1']RELATED: Prince Harry and Meghan send hopeful message about ‘uncertain times’[/video_embed]Diana also wasn’t shy about showing kindness to others outside her family. The late Princess was hands-on with her extensive charity work, never afraid to be in the thick of relief and outreach programs. Last year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex quoted her in an Instagram post, highlighting her selfless “random act[s] of kindness.” One of the many reasons we loved her so much.

Reminiscent of her late mother-in-law, Kate Middleton has never been shy about talking about motherhood and giving off serious love vibes with her kids. Earlier this year, the Duchess of Cambridge made an appearance on Giovanna Fletcher’s ‘Happy Mum Happy Baby’ podcast,  opening up about being a busy mom and her pregnancy difficulties. When asked about feelings of mom-guilt, she said, “[a]nyone who doesn’t [feel guilt] as a mother is actually lying. Yes, all the time.” Totally relatable.

The Duke and Duchess, whose kids are now being homeschooled due to coronavirus concerns, also sent a Mother’s Day wish to Kate’s mom, Carole Middleton, and shared a Mother’s Day card from Prince George to his mom.
