Meghan Markle admits she isn’t keeping up with ‘Suits’

After Meghan Markle left the world of Suits to go off and have a fairy tale ending with Prince Harry, there were fans who definitely hoped that the newly-minted Duchess of Sussex would be setting herself up with a bowl of popcorn every Wednesday night to check in with her former cast and see what shenanigans Harvey Specter and the crew were getting into.

Apparently, that’s not the case. Not at all.

At the Coach Core Awards on Monday, Meghan chatted with some students at Loughborough University and admitted that she hasn’t watched Suits since she left the show. According to People, identical twin brothers Luke and Elliott Rainbird, 20, asked the Duchess if she had seen the latest season of the TV drama and she replied “no” before steering the conversation back to the charity at hand.

The main cast of Suits -- including Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, Patrick J. Adams and Sarah Rafferty -- attended the Royal Wedding back in May and more recently reunited to support Adams at his movie premiere at TIFF earlier this month. Adams left the show at the same time as Markle after their characters (finally) tied the knot.

It’s no small task being a Duchess, so fans shouldn’t be too disappointed that Megs isn’t able to keep up with her friends’ show. The Coach Core Awards were just one of many public engagements Meghan and Harry have made in the past week.

At the event, the Royal couple played a variety of team-building games and did skills drills with students before meeting the graduates of the Royal Foundation’s program. After the 2012 London Olympics, the Foundation set up the Coach Core apprenticeship to empower underprivileged students through sport and offer them career opportunities.

Meghan may be missing out on the latest Suits drama, but at least it’s all for a good cause.
