Rose Leslie reveals why she booted fiancé Kit Harington out of the house

Rose Leslie visited Late Night with Seth Meyers Monday and admitted to kicking fiancé and former GoT co-star Kit Harington out of the house for a very legitimate reason: spoilers.

The Scottish native, 31, left behind her role of Ygritte in the massively popular HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones in 2014, and has since transitioned into a self-proclaimed “avid fan,” she tells Seth.

“With Game of Thrones I’m like the rest of the world,” Leslie says, adding she too is “waiting for the new and final season,” and called the show’s end “heartbreaking.”

Seth wondered if she’s ever tried to sneak a peek at the new scripts Harington, known for his iconic turn as Jon Snow, receives.

The Good Fight star is quick to shut that idea down, explaining, “I can read his facial expressions; I don’t want to know anything that’s going on like within his eyes or anything like that.”

So how does one avoid their fiancé in their own home? They don’t.

“I sent him packing,” Leslie confesses. “I kind of like booted him out so he could go to the coffee shop.”

It may seem dramatic but she’s quick to justify her actions, telling the host it’s “because I’ll be able to gage, if he stiffens then I go, ‘Oh someone’s dead.’”

It shows true dedication to have the season’s events at your fingertips and not buckle.

You know nothing, Rose Leslie, and in this case that’s a good thing.

Hopefully Leslie can maintain her expert self-control since the eighth and final season of GoT isn’t slated to premiere until 2019.

Late Night with Seth Meyers airs weeknights at 12:35 a.m. ET on CTV TWO.
