Watch: Alessia Cara embraces the 'Wild Things' in new music video

Alessia Cara isn't worried about the cool kids in the new video for her single "Wild Things," in which she sings about embracing your own identity and way of doing things.

"To me where the wild things are is a place that exists in our minds," the 19-year-old Juno nominee from Brampton, Ont. says in a monologue off the top. "It's a place of liberty and shamelessness, it can take a split second or a lifetime to find it, but once you do, you'll be free."

In the video, Cara and friends hit the streets from the suburbs to the city, before donning animal masks and lighting up the beach with firecrackers.

The single follows up her breakout hit "Here," which reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100.
