Jennifer Lawrence, Viola Davis, Cate Blanchett, Jane Fonda and nine more of Hollywood's most talented actresses land the cover of Vanity Fair's 22nd annual Hollywood issue.

Joining them are current Oscar nominees Brie Larson, Saoirse Ronan, Charlotte Rampling, and Alicia Vikander, plus Rachel Weisz, Lupita Nyong'o, Diane Keaton, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

Photographed by Annie Leibovitz, the issue profiles acting legends and relative newcomers, noting whether they're "measured by years, awards, or performances, they’re dazzling to behold."

(For the record, Rampling tops the performance tally, with 92 films to her name, while Mirren has the biggest trophy haul with an Oscar, six BAFTAs, four Emmys and a Tony).

In Leibovitz's portfolio for the magazine (see all the images here!) Lawrence and Fonda pose together for a portrait, while Davis and Nyong'o appear in raw, stripped down shots.

Larson opts for simple jeans and a t-shirt, and Rampling poses topless.

The magazine initially revealed its cover stars via Snapchat today.

The Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue is available on newsstands in New York and Los Angeles, and on the iPhone, Kindle, and other devices, on Thursday, February 4, and nationally on Tuesday, February 8.
