Shawn Mendes, Cardi B, Post Malone will perform at the Grammys

Celebrating musical achievements of the biggest stars around is great, but we all know the real reason we’re watching the Grammys— to see (free) mini-concerts from our favourite artists. Front row seats with the added bonus of watching in our PJs? Yes, please!

The first round of performers announced for the 2019 Grammys include fan faves (and nominees) Shawn Mendes, Cardi B, Post Malone, Camila Cabello, Janelle Monae, Dan + Shay and Kacey Musgraves so there's something for everyone.

Incredibly, we’ve got quite the pack of newbies here with Mendes, Cabello, Malone and Dan + Shay all receiving their first-ever nominations and making their Grammy stage debuts in the same year.

Cardi and Monae are both Grammy vets, with Cardi hitting the stage for the first time in 2017 (with two nominations for “Bodak Yellow”) and Monae boasting eight total noms dating back to 2008.

Kacey Musgraves is the most decorated Grammy performer announced so far with two wins under her belt and four more nominations this year for her country album Golden Hour and singles “Butterflies” and “Space Cowboy.”

So get ready for some crazy #GirlPower, some country darlings and of course, Canada’s Sweetheart, Mr. Shawn Mendes. (And also Post Malone who defies categorization).

Alicia Keys was previously announced as the host for the evening.

The 61st Grammy Awards air Sunday, February 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
