Kim Cattrall vs. SJP: Andy Cohen and more stars take sides

Kim Cattrall’s rejuvenated disdain for Sarah Jessica Parker has become a confusing and upsetting time for Sex and the City, and we’re feeling it too! Can we just time travel back to the 90s and forget this mess is even happening?

Cattrall’s recent comments against her apparent non-friend came after SJP offered her condolences following the sudden and tragic death of Kim’s brother. But Kim wasn’t having it.

In the midst of what we can only imagine is unimaginable grief, Cattrall then skewered SJP in a scathing post where she made crystal clear there is no bond between them, nor was there ever.

Ummmm….

Other stars have caught wind of the situation and are not holding back when it comes to taking sides.

SJP’s longtime friend Andy Cohen spoke out on his SiriusXM radio show to question Cattrall’s motivation for the icy cold statement. SJP “simply and concisely expressed her condolences, I would not call that ‘exploiting a tragedy’ what was she supposed to do? Say something bad? I don’t understand,” he said.

The Watch What Happens Live host revealed he initially believed the post to be fake, adding “I also don’t like that people are characterizing this as a cat fight. There’s only one person fighting here.”

And where’s Mr. Big when you need some champagne-sipping, limo-riding distraction from your frenemies?

TMZ caught up with actor Chris Noth to ask him about his former castmates and his reaction is almost identical to his iconic Big character…when it comes to drama, he can't be bothered.

SJP finds a reliable ally in her current Divorce co-star Molly Shannon, who addressed the issue in a recent interview, shutting down any suggestion of SJP being “cruel.”

“Sarah is just so supportive and so wonderful and we just get along so well,” Shannon gushed.

“It doesn't really feel like work,” she continued, “because we have so much in common, and she loves funny women and is just so genuinely supportive and kind, and, like, a girls' girl."

Cattrall found an unlikely defender in her corner when Piers Morgan retweeted Cattrall’s post with an accompanying supportive comment that read “Nothing worse than someone who's treated you like dirt suddenly pretending to care about you to make themselves look good in the public's eyes.” In October 2017, Kim spoke out about her reasons for not returning to the SATC franchise in an interview with Morgan

In spite of all this, SJP appears as stylish and content as ever as she hit the streets in NYC Tuesday wearing an Emory Bee coat and rocking out with Beats headphones.

We're totally fine too BTW.
