Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's Twitterstorm explained

Kanye West has been attracting a lot of attention with his recent Twitter rants, ranging from philosophy to economics to…Trump? But wife Kim Kardashian is keeping a close eye, pouncing on a few of his posts to keep him in check and acting as his first line of defence.

It all started when Kanye posted photos of the interior of the Kardashian-West home, a huge no-no for the makeup mogul. The couple keep their home incredibly private, even refusing to allow KUWTK to film within its frame.

Kim made light of the perceived hiccup with a laughing emoji and jumped on an article that criticized her call-out saying, “Oh RELAX I’m joking!”

But when Kanye began speaking his mind about Trump, the laughter died and things got serious.

Following these posts, Kanye tweeted that Kim called him to make sure he was being very clear in his opinions on the controversial and divisive POTUS, writing, “My wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone. I don’t agree with everything Trump does. I don’t agree 100% with anyone but myself.”

Kim sprang into action and addressed it all, from his split from long-time manager Scooter Braun, to his use of the term “Sunken-place” in reference to their home, to his mental health. (The term ”Sunken Place” is from the hugely successful thriller Get Out, referring to the deep hypnotic state that black prisoners became trapped in.)

“He’s actually out of the sunken place when he’s being himself which is very expressive,” Kim explains.

She went on to say it’s this very expression that is being mislabeled.

“So quick to label him as having mental health issues for just being himself when he has always been expressive is not fair.”

Finally, she cleared the air regarding the Trump comments saying that “when he spoke about Trump…Most people (including myself) have very different feelings and opinions about this. But this is HIS opinion. I believe in people being able to have their own opinions…He never said he agrees with his politics.”

Kim went on a rant of her own, continuing to defend him saying while "he will never run in the race of popular opinion," she still loves and respects him, finishing her argument by saying "Mental health is no joke and the media needs to stop spitting that out so casually. Bottom line."

Kanye West suffered a nervous breakdown in 2016, cancelling several concerts and checking himself into UCLA Medical Center.

Kim has also been making some controversial posts of her own. The mother of three began posting steamy NSFW intimate photos of herself in the buff on her Instagram and Twitter accounts to promote her new fragrance. Her body appears covered in plaster in some. “We took a mold of my body and made it a perfume bottle,” she explains.

It seems Kim fans will soon be able to hold her exact proportions in the palm of their hands. This looks and sounds incredible, but in the meantime Kim has her hands full running PR duty for Kanye amid this confusing Twitter drama that shows no signs of stopping...
